ur conclusión is wrong, he is a profesional dev if he says he will take 1/2 months break it will be 1/2 months and no more.
and in 4 years he did not take any breaks.... and is fucking normal to want vacations.
I've considered deving a game once, but seeing how demanding some fans can be has made me reconsider.

From completely entitled tools who think they have the right to micromanage the development of any game they like, to those who declare if you're not a patron you don't even have the right to an opinion.
And we, the moderates who don't approach everything completely hysterical or blindly optimistic are stuck inbetween and start to wonder if it's us who are strange and not the other guys.

I was in the same situation up until just a couple of hours ago, but I downloaded the walkthrough linked on the first page of this thread and carefully went bask through every step until I I found that I missed a couple of steps, including sneaking into the Parent's Room at night and talking to Linda in the morning at a crucial time.

I agree. People asking for recommendations is okay, though there's a whole recommendations board for that kind of stuff, but shameless plugs like this saying "This game's way better everyone should go play this instead of the game on this page" is in bad taste, to put it lightly.

Easier said than done. The way a game goes can largely depend on what characters the players like the most. We can speculate on what girls will be the most popular, but can often be wrong. For example, when I started Lexi, I had no idea that Kaylee would be as popular as Lexi, but after the first release, I realized that the story would be just as much about her as it would be about Lexi. They ended up having equally important roles. Her popularity shifted the whole balance of the game and caused the story to go in a completely new direction.
Instead it's more efficient to just come up with a general outline and a big list of ideas before development starts, that way you don't waste months of writing that could change enough to scrap large portions of writing, but you still have a good idea of where the game is going and the ability to adapt the story to the list of ideas.
