I don't think there has been a pause. I think there is a deliberate development slowdown of content to maximize how much money is being taken from patrons and I think this is something that is happening to many of the more popular developers on this site.

Slow down or pause... it doesn't matter, the consequence is the same.

If it were an altruistic project there is nothing to object to other than being grateful for the work already done.

This is not the situation, money is raised for this project, it could be legal in that they are free and disinterested financial contributions that do not imply any commitment on the part of the creator.

But its legitimacy is questionable and a dishonest practice.

If people financially support the project it is to help the creator prosper.

The minimum the creator must do is report the situation at all times and each person will assume whether they contribute or not.

Let's not forget that part of the problem lies with the sponsors themselves

I've made my own version of Lily, as well as Caroline, Linda, Sara, Celia, Violet, Judy, Delilah, Cindy and Macy.

Hope people aren't upset that i'm plugging my content but since the game is "finished" and there will be no more content for the minor characters, i figure i could at least point you to where more content is being made. I might be the only one doing the minor characters however at this moment, hopefully more will join in!

Saying "finished" is an euphemism. For me, it's abandoned for now.

I see some pretty good designs that are faithful to the original, but others seem very strange to me. They are pretty but they are different characters that only share aesthetics.

Anyway, I congratulate and thank the community.

I have more faith in the community creating a remake than in the creator finishing the game.
