There's a couple of mini-games on the computer you could play OR you could use the cheat/walkthrough mod by Lain and give yourself 10k right out of the box.
Other than that, the job(s) you do for Linda or Caroline (or Bob) give you money, albeit not that much. You can also find loose cash scattered around the game.

His three month deadline on this forum. He needs to post at least every three months something about the game or he gets the abandoned tag here. That deadline is up at Friday, and it seems he has woken to fill up that deadline and postpone the abandoned tag with another three months.
