Got some conflicting feelings about Riley. As a character she's great, perhaps one of the best in the game - but not what I've been expecting. By her description in manual and her looks I kinda created an image of a sweet shy little princess. What I've got is an awkward teenager. Which is realistic, and I don't mind at all; just find it bit ironic that MC's mother fits the image of a "sweet shy princess" archetype more than his schoolmate.
One more thing: the concert date is really something, it's so emotional and touching - I encountered things like this only in Japanese visual novels. That's a compliment.

She's my favorite character (getting the feeling a lot of people will say Claudia or Octavia is their favorite, but for me while they're all great, I guess I like the building relationship & interactions with the female characters before I get my MC into sexual situations. Not saying those other characters lack in that area, but I'm enjoying the relative slow-burn pace of Riley's storyline).
Awkward seems to be the right word to describe her. Like when MC finds out that their date is a "concert concert", she does say to MC that she can take him back home after dinner if that's not something he likes. Just feels like while she isn't shy to share things she loves (esp. with people she thinks of as friends & cares about), when things get uncomfortable she tends to take a step back (instead of pushing things forward). And I don't mind it either.
Really loved the concert date (yeah it was really touching & heartfelt), especially her performance & eye contact with the MC.
I also loved that scene at school where she says "I will be there (i.e. Evelyn's yoga lesson) today." She was disappointed she wasn't with MC in the previous lesson (due to her violin practice), & I felt it was pretty cute with the way she persuaded him to come (with him being hesitant due to homework).
All characters' storylines have been good, but I'm looking forward to her storyline most in the future updates.

I have to admit, I am one of them. Octavia is definitely my favourite due to my weakness for "damsel in distress" trope. There's an interesting power dynamic in her route; as a teacher she has certain power over you, her pupil, which she's shown to utilize (for your own good),

So far Riley's route feels to be the most realistic to me. Claudia is just too perfect to be believable, she's always so sweet and caring, it's like she's completely incapable to get mad at MC or anyone else. Octavia is a "princess in need of a savior", and while I love that stuff, her desperate situation feels kinda melodramatic. Karen is your regular "slutty MILF"; adult games are full of such characters. Compared to them Riley as a character and the romance with her are the most life-like experiences in the game. No drama, no taboo fetishes, no exploiting, just two inexperienced teenagers trying to reach out for each other. Flirting clumsily. Doing things like asking out a lady in an evening dress to a pizza diner. It's like they are not characters in an erotic game, but real human beings.
Same here. What I really like about MT and its characters is, among other things, how no one just jumps on MC's cock because he and his cock just drive them mad with lust. Well, Karen kinda does, but you have to have someone like her in a porn game, right.

That is probably why I like Riley's character most. The setting of MT, with the way MC lives, gives the "slice of life" feeling for most part. But where MC's relationships are concerned, some of them do feel fantastical.
However, saying that does not mean I think those relationships are bad (nor do I say that as a slight to Studio Kuma because I think what he's done is great).
It's just that, when the setting seems to be grounded, I prefer the relationship of MC that I play as grounded also. Besides, sure she's awkward, but there's really that endearing factor about Riley which completely overwhelms her awkward attribute.
Have you tried HopesGaming's "The DeLuca Family"? If you haven't I think it might be right up your alley. Kuma also recently did cross-promotion with Hopes (that's how I found out about MT).

It's Claudia for me there is just something other worldly about her compared to the other characters but I don't really have a 2nd or 3rd fave if I was to list a top 3 atm but that could change in the future.

I get what you're saying, for example the detailed descriptions of MC's breakfasts, showers, small everyday actions like that, all that does build a soothing feeling of a comfortable routine. On the other hand, though, the UI design and the music create an atmosphere of luxury, which, I think, foreshadows MC entering into the world of big money and high stakes.
Damn, the music is really good. Just like the art, it's a cut above every other adult game I've ever played. (The only exception I would make here is "Verbal" - not a big fan of this track.)

I have to agree, Riley is probably my favorite too so far, the way the relationship is portrayed is something that could be right of a good visual novel. Another thing I have to commend is the usage of music, in visual novels a good soundtrack can make or break a scene, and so far there's some real great tracks in this.

If you're implying that both Victor and Marcello are more complex characters than they look at the first glance, that they have a personal depth in them that's going to be uncovered, be it a surprising past that shines a different light on them, or a character change in the future, like a redemption arc - then what can I say? This has been such a great game to enjoy, really appreciate the devs investment in such a quality product. Although Claudia is obv gorgeous, I really hope we get to see more of Octavia and Karen. The blackmail route is always fun to play, and Octavia looks simply stunning in her club outfit. Cheers!
