While very true Id more eagerly hand out to worthwhile causes then give anything even time of day to off top of my head a disaster like star citizen which has wasted millions with little to show for it. Though tbh if I did have that money, things like this would be below other things. I'd love to fund like lawsuits towards large video game companies, or hitmen for poachers and the poachers family and friends. For hitmen on politicians that support the 1% or vote against higher taxes for the rich or politicians that are procensor in japan. Then Id full on sponsor NOPY, this site, games like this but bigger. I assure you if I had such money it wouldnt sit around. No one not even myself or friends or family should accrue such money and hide it away and fuck the economy. I'd give most of it away as Id be more like to kill myself then to stand hypocrisy from myself. It aint about if it were even worthless pocket change its about principles. Seen too many a person or artist lose their own to money by taking it and running off, let alone other things people do.

Honestly, if you had that much money, just spending it is valuable to the economy and the workers within it. I wish more billionaires would just throw money at everything because the stimulative effect it would have on the lives of workers would be amazing.

Greed, ego, incompetance, stupidity, retardation would be the why in a super nutshell. History has shown a lot how terrible for the world at large such pieces of shit are but no one cares. The spending of where matters though cause if you export all the money out you'll hurt where your grabbing it from and kick circulation in the balls. Money is by far the biggest factor but there is also employee treatment and time. Like one of the biggest reasons two day weekend became a thing was Henry Ford also helped push for it since he knew if they had fuck all for free time they wouldnt buy a car or see little reason too. Also a massively odd purely coincidence Im sure (sarcasm) that companies that pay even the lowest employee livable wages and give benefits do very well (generally) since waaay fucking less turn over, more productivity and yada yada.
FFS for and in some places are worse off then slaves or indentured servants were back in the day since no effort must be made to care for the worker (eg. room board food clothes) aside from giving them what constitutes less then table scraps... hell dont even gotta sweat or whip to push people to work themselves to death now for nothing for not even what is equatable to pocket lint in the companies pants let alone for a pence or nickel

More like imagine one monkey gets paid the same amount as 1,000 monkeys. He dies, and he creates a dynasty of monkeys that do nothing but inherit the wealth of that one monkey and use it to make the same amount as 100,000 monkeys.
