Click button only when Shadow looks away.Hi folks. How do I complete Mias's first mission? Any hints? Everytime I try, she's either seen on the fist sttempt, or on the second. I'm kinda lost on how to pass that part.
Dude... No need getting political about a sex game. It wouldn't matter if we get to fuck the Director, it's a sex game. 99% (the remaining 1% are those we don't get to fuck) or 100% of the females in sex games are there for the purpose of being fucked. The whole pronoun thing is not a political statement by the developer in support of men, being called by female pronouns. It's just simply Mia saying that the Director is now female technically--so there's no potential confusion in future conversations--for either of them to think the former Director and current Director are two different beings.I haven't finished the update yet (or even gotten that far, I assume) and I have to say... I'm unpleasantly amused.
So we go genderbend the big bad. I'm not very fond of this. It's the big bad, and I'm a bit worried about where this is going.
Then we get to the bits that'll make *nobody* happy. Namely, the very pronounced insistence on being very clear about the pronoun of the newly transformed big bad. On the one hand the folks perhaps not so keen on changing the pronoun of the big bad are going to be unhappy, because well, it's doing exactly that. On the other hand, the folks who are particularly *open* to changing the pronoun are going to be upset because nobody ever actually asked the big bad what they wanted. They just got their body transformed and now we're making some pretty strong assumptions here.
I can't decide if I should have expected this, or if I couldn't have expected it but just shouldn't be surprised. Ah well.
Edit: Actually, fuck it. Can anybody tell me if we know yet if we're going to start fucking the big bad? If that's the way this is going I have no real interest in this, so why dump more time into it?
Seems like a real weird direction to go in if it's not going to end up at that particular destination, and it would explain the super hard insistence on the pronoun despite the fact it's going to piss both sides off... so why risk wasting the time? Also, if this is going there, this really should have been/needs to be tagged.
What? I didn't even express an opinion on the pronoun thing, aside from saying it managed to step on the toes of both sides of that particular issue. The dev if anything seems to be trying to make a statement, maybe, but I can't tell which side he's actually trying to take.Dude... No need getting political about a sex game. How many stamina do i need to catch fish?If you can't make progress through this game you're just not thinking straight. There's a pretty simple manner that you have to reach place x by expending minimum stamina. There's not much more to it. You can also escape a fight and keep story progress you've made, although you may lose food. It's usually as simple as "do the minimum stamina to win a fight and you'll make it to the next point". Eg, use the strong attack to survive, and the weak attack to conserve stamina, and progress with min hp and max stamina. There's nothing more complex to it than that. I played to the end of the available content in one afternoon on my first attempt. And actually, I had a blast. Like for the first time ever on a game from here, I enjoyed the game for what it was. Read all the content, and was more in it for the progress than the lewdness.
It's the most like a "proper" game I've ever seen on here. It's beyond the normal scope of a VN, and has real tactics involved, it feels way more like a Persona or similar that other people have lauded to try and recreate, simply because you repeat days over and over, but while having a very very clear direction. It's a real winner IMO.
The number one great thing about this game, is that you have to work hard to achieve a goal, and the goal is more survivors. It never even occurred to me before but what feels like a better motivator in a game like this, than to unlock more girls? I've never wanted to progress in a lewd game more than I do rn for those new lewds. Such a great idea to start with one, and have the goal of trying to get more.
There's a few cons. I would say searching for items is made way too easy with the magnifying glass overlay. It's basically go through each room and click the magnifying glass to proceed. If that could be expanded somehow, without going too far the other way and becoming a chore, you'd feel a lot more accomplished for finding the way forward.
The biggest gripe... Unfortunately the MC is just... intolerable. As always. I see the same thing in so many of these games - they're always so self-righteous, so smart, so right-all-the-time, so putting-stupid-women-in-their-place. If you were to strip all the porn out of this game, there's one thing that would keep it from being generally well received: the unlikeable MC. Your best bet and the most common RPG option: make them pretty much silent except for the options you choose. Second best bet? Make them a goofball. The worst option is for them to have deep, strung out opinions, argue with NPCs and put them in their place all the time. It allows no room to imagine yourself in their shoes and if you disagree with their mindset, it's kinda unsettling.
I actually haven't thought about it before reading your post but I also don't want the game to end with the MC fucking the newly female director and turning her to the good side.So we go genderbend the big bad. I'm not very fond of this. It's the big bad, and I'm a bit worried about where this is going.
I am pretty sure I remember the Director was originally a man and so was referred to as 'he/him' in his now old, transformation. What? I didn't even express an opinion on the pronoun thing, aside from saying it managed to step on the toes of both sides of that particular issue. The dev if anything seems to be trying to make a statement, maybe, but I can't tell which side he's actually trying to take.
And how in the world does it not matter if we fuck the Director? Just because it's a sex game, you think nobody cares who gets fucked? From a story perspective, the Director is the BBEG. Plenty of people don't wanna fuck the villain just on the basis that they're actually invested in the story. And considering the Director just went off and got genderbent, I think it's very fair to say many people are not into that. Do you regularly play games that focus on content you have zero interest in (say because of sex/gender or fetishes you dislike)? But you're cool because it's a sex game, so who cares if it's material you wouldn't otherwise be interested in? I doubt it.
And no, they are not treating them as two separate beings. They frequently refer to the Director prior to the transformation as "she" - even when explicitly talking about the Director's body at that time.
You mean in the past dialogue that occurred prior to the genderbend? Right, they did not edit all the pronouns in the game as part of this update.I am pretty sure I remember the Director was originally a man and so was referred to as 'he/him' in his now old, transformation.
