"Stealing"? I spoke of no such thing. I said GRIFTING and I think you know exactly what I meant so I'm not going to explain it to you. Where in cyberspace, pray-tell, would it be acceptable to you for people to talk about grifters grifting?
Okay, you got me. But what was the point of talking about it in this thread? Are you implying that the developer of this VN is a scammer? If not - there is a separate subsection on the forum for such common questions. Create a thread there and express your theory.

the main story was bad form the beggining ,you dont give the player choices ...like dont work for the lady,or is idiotic that your ideal job is working with ore-teens that looks like a 10 years old...need to be pretty mind sick to do such a thing no matter if is ingame,...half of the content you did was with this crap..kinetics are work for no headeaches....take all that and erasedfrom the game...and what you have? make a new plot same charas [less the loli content] put some harem or ntr tag[ not netori]and woilla you have a new game...ppl tend to dissapear when the choices arent meaningful,
...What in the world is this mess? I can't make heads nor tails of your post. Are you trying to kinkshame the developer for having lolis in the game, or are you shitting all over him for abandoning a project he simply can't finish, or... What? I honestly can't figure out what any of that stuff is supposed to mean.

This story had so much potential to be great and he just tosses it aside.

It's such bullshit when a story with a decent mystery to it is dropped like this.

No because he wouldn't make money that way.
How would he be making money by abandoning his only remaining game? There's literally no reason to sub to his SubscribeStar or Patreon anymore since it's no longer associated with one of the the most consistently highest rated titles (on f95).

Unless he has some secret reason for doing this that he isn't telling anyone which forced him into giving MorM up he effectively gets nothing out of dropping it. Like, no matter what, this move can't have possibly increased his revenue and even if Ronovan makes a new game after this it would be a miracle for it to even get a third of the positive reviews as he managed with MorM

Who would be dumb enough to patron someone who abandoned a game?

I still find this to be one of the stranger incidents of a dev suddenly abandoning their game in a while. He's been giving consistent progress reports on the Day 5 update since August of last year, and started dropping Teaser images as far back as October. Then he releases day 4.5 in december and apparently decided he was so sick of the story he had made that he was done and the Day 5 update would never be finished?

Who would be dumb enough to patron someone who abandoned a game?
Who knows, although when I was on his discord earlier today Ronovan claimed he's already had at least one person join on his patreon following the announcement that he was quitting.

Personally, I'm just really glad I switched to the free tier of subscribestar after this last update.

If I was one of the people who stayed subscribed on a paid tier since then I'd be at least a bit upset that he scammed* me into paying 2 months of a subscription, ostensibly to help him work on the game while he did nothing relevant.

*If a lie by omission is still a lie then a scam by omission is still a scam, right?

You didn't quite understand my point, did you? I said he won't be passing on the game and MorM's story to another dev to finish it, because if he does that, he wouldn't be making any money off of it. Quite simple. Right now he's making money off of the promise or hope that he will pick it back up like last time.

If someone else actually wanted to work on a game like this they could just make something on their own though. What's stopping them? Also to be frank, if you're actively spending money on something that for now is confirmed to NOT happen, you deserve to lose your money.

Don't forget, there are people who forget what they patroned and don't stop at this point. I mean, there are games years abandoned with patrons.

I understand that people get upset when something they really like suddenly stops, that's fair.

But I can't justify to myself that working on something that isn't fun anymore is a good idea. It is super hard to keep the same level of quality as when I REALLY liked this project. The next update would just be half assed because I forced myself through it. And for what? Money? The money is nice, of course. And it gives me a boost to know that people are willing to support me. But I have a full time job. I don't need the support to survive, I do this because I love doing it.

I'm also sad about abandoning this game by the way. I was staring at my monitor for hours feeling stressed out about whether I should announce that I'm abandoning it or not. But I wanna be honest with you all. Better that then I just leave without saying anything, hoping that people won't stop donating, like some devs...

Also, Money or Morals is NOT dead. The "main" game is. I'm gonna make more content with the characters from it.
