i have some problems in my modded game. i somehow dont get nekos. and i would like to have a tentacle room for enlargeing breast size and womb size but every upgrade is draining or enlargeing with negativ numbers. can someone help?
Please specify that you're using "Complex Breeding" mod. It is the source of your troubles.

Base form of catgirls is "imp". Which can evolve into succubi or nekomatas under the right conditions.

With tentacles, there is always a price to pay. When "draining", you are paying the price. Positive number is how much you're getting in your "wallet" called "vitality reserve". When improving, negative number is how much you're taking from the "wallet" for each upgrade. Tentacles would not allow you to buy on credit, you have to pay first.

Finally, check "complex breeding" guide in my signature, it might help.

I'm willing to try it myself, but I don't have any experience editing files.
If you want to modify ComplexBreeding.dll file itself you'll need .

It's tedious, but once you opened the .dll you'll need to find all descriptions manually. Like this:

And you'll have to be precise with your edits to not break everything.

So yeah, this method kinda works. But need testing for a proper implementation. Personally, I'd prefer a configurable description language mod, but that's for someone else to do.

If I've never heard of this game before, should I start vanilla? Or is it one of those where I should be modding it from the get-go?

Not sure about entirely vanilla, but definitely don't use Complex Breeding on your first run.
Not only does it completely change core systems of the game, it also disables all dialogues, including the tutorials.

No need to mod it, go with vanilla first.
If you find vanilla too difficult or troublesome, there are some mods in the modpack that can help. And so can my guide (in my signature).
If you find vanilla not troublesome enough, use Complex Breeding, and perhaps Complex Breeding For Dummies.

The original version is the best to start with, with full tutorials to guide players on how to operate.
Some large MODs will have incorrect character portraits, character prices will collapse, and it will be difficult to give birth to task targets.
It is recommended to try to open such MODs after experiencing the main body for 50 days.

Is the Complex Breeding DNA synthesis bugged or is it just me? There is no racial trait whenever you create one from DNA synthesis and if you try to synthesize anyway, you'll be given an average unit with some stats missing.

I think that's how it's supposed to work.
