Hmm, that makes sense the first time it happened, but not after I completely unzipped the most current file into a new folder without any walkthrough. It still did the same error.

Edit: I deleted the folder again, and redownloaded the zip file (just to be sure) and now it works, maybe when I thought I deleted the original folder I actually just overwritten the previous. In any case it's working now. Thanks

If you get an error after starting the game with the mod it's most likely because the mod isn't updated for the latest version.

if you get an error while copying the files then I have no idea.....

So I was like:

No, you just used an outdated mod most likely (the mod dev haven't updated it yet).

Delete everything related to this VN (including the persistent save in "C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\MonsterCollege-1680008752")

then start fresh.
