If you want a quick "is this for me?" yes/no, then ask yourself if you want to play a numbers-focused (laser focused) JRPG or if you're just horny.

I can see this being polarizing. There's a lot to hate about this game but it's not something I, personally, disliked that much. So lets have a roast of a 4 star review.

    Porn
The porn isn't there. It might as well not be there. It's one CG, some lines and a moneyshot. It's like the porn scenes from the 90s era of games like this: except even shorter. Barely enough time to get half-mast. The exception being the main girls with some buildup- but I get it. Promising 1,000 is a lot. The plot sort of demanded it too. So most girls just have a transient existence, showing up, getting dicked (maybe you did their quest first) and then disappearing. Speaking of the plot:

    Plot
Eh. It's not bad. There's sort of a bait and switch, though. You'd think it would be episodic based on the first bit; it is not. Around a third of the way in it's just a marathon from one place to another. Kind of ties back into the porn's faults, too.

Around act 3 the game just copies a fairly popular anime (well, the arc hasn't technically been animated, but it's one you've heard of) to the point of absurdity. Characters being introduced almost for the purpose of having these similar characters to follow the same plot. But it only gets obnoxious near the end and there are worse things to copy.

    Game
If you're here, it's for the RPG and the mechanics. If that doesn't sound fun, or you just want a save file, just go to a different game. Dead serious; I'd recommend an NTR game to someone who hates NTR before I'd recommend this game to someone who hates JRPGs.
    The JRPG is not avoidable.

The scaling is odd. You really have to be fairly familiar with games like this to get it under control. So if you do like RPGs but you don't make it past the experience-in-genre check, you're still not gonna have a good time. Though, there is an easy mode.

    Writing
As you'd expect, the writing is fine. It doesn't add or subtract. There are a few more modern words used which make sense in context but feel out of place in a fantasy world. "Locker room talk" in a world which is basically mono-gendered is just enough to trip up your suspension of disbelief. But you'll only get there at the end anyway.

    Hence: Polarizing.
Someone could tell me they gave it a 1 and I'd be like "I get it". Someone could tell me they think it's the best game on the site and I'd get that too. I'd not agree with either of them. Funnily enough on a porn site this game scratches an itch even the people into it can have only on occasion. The JRPG itch. I could see someone giving this a 5/5 on an indie JRPG board. I could see someone giving it a 3/5 if there was zero porn (lower standards is a hell of a nice thing to have sometimes) and they were reviewing just a normal video game. I'll split the difference.

    Final word
Overly ambitious, the porn suffered for it, the game's last act suffered for it, the RPG was consistently interesting and more than passable throughout. A sequel where the porn/story is smaller in scope to allow for better porn and story would be super interesting to check out. If you have a JRPG in your backlog on Steam, just play that instead. If you want porn, check out another game. But if you're somewhere in a very (very very very) narrow middle, you're going to get out of this game what you want to get out of this game.

    Review for v19.0.0e

What happens when you mix 5% of Adult Visual game with 30% of RPG and 65% of pure, unregulated lore? You get Monster Girl 1000.

Overall, I would say that I actually liked the game. But it has so many issues going against it, i genuinely feel like this game could have been so much better. This game basically tries to be a fully-fleshed out fantasy-RPG world heavily inspired by One Punch man and Hunter X Hunter, but falls flat on his face at being an adult game with sexy sex scenes.

Thing is, i'm fairly sure MG1K isn't the type of game i usually play, and that's probably why I didn't enjoy it as much as others may have I'm fairly sure that i was given a false impression that the game was all about breeding as well, so when the game turned into a different section, it's why the mid to late-game felt off to me.

Due to the game's complexity and overall MASSIVE amount of story/lore, there are many things that i'll probably skip over or mention in passing, because contrary to the creator of Monster Girl 1000, i have no intentions of dragging this out more than it needs to be. I'll try to keep this review as concise as I can.

Before we start: I'm an active indie game developer, and while this doesn't make this review more valuable than others, i do hope i can provide an educated point of view from a game dev, design and gameplay perspective in particular.

DISCLAIMER: I played the game in story mode, with cheats. And you should too. Otherwise, you're an insane person, not kidding. Will explain later.

Also, mixed amount of spoilers ahead, mostly in the story section. I'll make sure to hide the spoiler sections appropriately.

    STORY:

Well... i don't even know where to begin for that one.

Foremost, the game's story, lore and background is extremely detailed and MASSIVELY lengthy. People that enjoy text-based formats will have an absolute field day playing this game. Right now (with this game version) it took me about 45+ hours to reach the post-game era. This includes doing many of the optional side-quests in order to buff up my party and completing most of the contracts and battles available in the game. The only reason i've been able to stay sane is by skipping through most of the countless vomits of exposition and lore the game has.

The game story is fairly simple to understand at the beginning, but very quickly become extremely convoluted due to the game's story arc: Basically, your initial goal is to restore the male population of the world by making lots of babies with all kinds of monster girls. You complete contracts, do battles, reach new areas in order to progress, fuck every girl in sight and then move on, right?

    Well yes, but actually no.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Put simply, you will be forced into an extremely confusing, deep spiral of events, gods machinations, mystic powers, secret machines, alternative dimensions, time freeze, etc... And you are forced to go through all of it even tho all you want probably is having hot, steamy sex with all those monster girls.

Honestly, the plot and main story could definitely have been so much more interesting if it was made more "digestible" and simple to follow. This points to by far the biggest, massive, purulent problem of this game:

    Exposition.

There's just too much of it. The dialogues drag on for hours (Literally) and hours and never fucking ends. Anything and everything has an insane amount of dialogue, sub-plots, mysteries, science/mystical allures. Even when i'm skipping through dialogues by pressing W, it genuinely takes a few minutes to skip through all of it for a standard quest. There's just so much of it!

Combine that with the fully fleshed out RPG aspect of the game (Which is actually... good?), the game will take legit 100+ hours if you take the time to read everything. Even with the relatively high amount of sexual content the offers, there is so much downtime reading lore, dialogues and plot points in between two sex scenes that it's impossible to enjoy this game as an adult game.

Here's the thing: When you reach the Mistral Village chapter of the game (Which is quite early), it is the peak of the adult game side. It will never peak for the next few dozen hours. Because in the mid to late-game portion, you basically do a contract, have sex with a random girl has a reward (That usually never ends with them being pregnant, which is the whole fucking point of the game) and then you're stuck peeling dialogue potatoes for the next hour or so before getting another contract, having sex as a reward, yadayada, rinse repeat.

And it's truly a shame because i think the quests, contracts and characters sub-plots could have been very well enjoyable if not for the absolutely unnecessary amount of text the creator use. You have to put a fair amount of balance between lore/story complexity and accessibility/readability. And you MUST allow the player to skip the lengthy portions, either by using optional dialogue options (Which the games does use, but poorly) or by the form of text logs, in this case.

    An example:
Say you have a particular town that has an intense drought. The average player only needs to be explained the short/condensed version of why/how/where this event happens and what he needs to do. If the player wants more details, make it available through optional dialogue with relevant characters, perhaps books/guides you can buy, etc...

The game already does this, but give you the long, extended, director's cut version for literally all the quests from the get go, PLUS the optional questions you can ask afterward.

    Bruh.

Which brings us to our next point.

    CHARACTERS:

Overall, i believe the characters are actually good. Not great or amazing (We'll get to why in a moment) but definitely well above the average adult game for sure. And since there is so many of them (Probably around 100+)you can easily find one to your liking.

However, good luck having a good number of scenes with the characters you like. Because there is an absolute colossal number of them. Many of them only have one or two sex scenes, outside the main characters like Bessie and Ray (which btw, you can't impregnate until the very, very end of the game) and very quickly falls into irrelevancy once their particular sub-quest ends.

For example: You like Moona (The cow girl)? Well, she has a single, short quest at the beginning of the game and then nothing else for the next 40-50 hours of the game. Once she is knocked up, well... that's it. Fun, eh?

Also, it's clear the creator of this game has decided to put text content above all else. Which is why most characters all have the same poses, same clothes, mostly the same facial expressions and very little variety in their allure beside maybe some shredded clothing when they get fucked up. So they all have a very, samey-samey feel to them due to the complete lack of body language.

Also, why are they so many girls that are not impregnable? And if they are, only in the post-game section? Jesus Christ, we're playing an impregnation game, so we want to see more impregnation stuff. Not kidding, something like a quarter of all girls can be impregnated.

This create a major, main motivator issue. To keep it simple:

The main motivator is the constant reason/justification we give to the player to play the game. For example, in Resident Evil 4, your goal is to save Ashley, the daughter of the US president. Everything is centered around saving this girl and geared towards this common goal.

In this case, our goal is initially given as producing one thousand offsprings. Ohray! But hold up... I have to save the entire fucking world now? Okay... And i can't actually impregnate most of the girls i encounter? WTF?!

This divergence in the main goal is to me, one of the largest single issue you can have with the current plot. In the latter part of the game, basically no girl at all except like two join your harem. 90% of your harem will be from the initial inhabitant of the Mistral Village and the first few zones you clear.

This is very likely due to the decision of focusing on the main story. It would be quite hard to make sure so many characters stay relevant to the plot. So in a way, it's simply a side-effect of having so much focus on story.

    GRAPHICS:

Meh, nothing impressive. The art itself is... good. Not great or amazing. The characters all have the same style, same colors, same eyes, same face structure, etc... So it quickly becomes bland, and you don't get surprised with intricate, deep visual details. Most of them have interesting and/or distinct designs tho, which make them easy to recognize most of the time.

This gets weirder tho as you get to the endgame parts. You'll begin to see AI generated art (Which usually looks quite atrocious) and generic paperdoll art which feels really out of place. I understand there is very high likelihood it's a placeholder but come on... You're already lagging behind in visuals. Now this?

    SEX SCENES:

Technically, there is a lot of them. With something like 90+ girls you can sleep with and with many of them have multiples scenes and threesomes, orgies and such, there should be plenty, right?

    Well, yes and no. Again.

In actuality, we're talking like 130+ scenes sprinkled all over a 100+ hour game. That's a LOT of disparity between scenes. Especially in the latter parts of the game, where it can be literal hours before you get the next scene. And even if you do get one, it's so short and finished under a minute. So unless you're beating your meat so fast it looks like a dried sea cucumber, you'll never be able to actually be excited enough to do the deed.

And the quality isn't great, too. It mostly consists of completely static images, with a few superposition for the cum and such. That's it. No animation, no different poses or positions, no involvement from the player at all. As it stands, the game sex scenes are largely pretty stale.

    GAMEPLAY:

The RPG aspect of this game is surprisingly well-developed. You have immense amount of loots, armor, weapons, ingredients, upgrades, stats, levels and such to explore and play with in order to min/max your party. The combat can have a very deep and wide amout of skills and strategies available to the player so any player that likes JRPG/Old school Pokemon like RPG mechanics will have a lot of fun.

However, the game as it stands is very poorly balanced and can be very hard or very easy depending on if you have the right tools and items. If you don't have the patience to scrutinize, read and upgrade the hundreds of different items in the game (Like me) you're so much better off playing with story mode and cheats activated.

The game is already so unbearingly long, and some of boss battles in particular can also easily extend over 15-20 minutes or even more. And true to it's story, the stats and attack numbers can very quickly become extremely confusing as well, due to HP/armor/damage levels being vastly different from one fight to another. So you can have say, one battle where the enemy has a million hitpoints, and you damage it with attacks in the hundred of thousands. Then the next battle has you fighting an enemy with only 10 000 hitpoints, but you attacks only does like 70...

This make it almost impossible to truly understand and master the fight. And for godsake, it's a porn game at the end of the day, why am i playing a game that has legit the same RPG complexity has MMORPG in the like of WoW and Black Desert?!

The final nail in the coffin is that none of those mechanics are used towards leveling up or improving relationships with the girls, perhaps unlocking new or different scenes. You literally have all of the mechanics for that, but right now it's purely used as a restraining tool to avoid the player just rushing through the story.

    CONCLUSION:

    Here's a summary:

    PROS
    - Immense amount of content, characters and sex scenes
    - Overall story and plot is quite engaging and well made
    - Extreme lifespan on gameplay (46 hours to complete for me, with cheats and easy story mode, skipping lots of stuff) with a potential for 100+ hours.
    - Surprinsgly well made RPG mechanics
    - Excellent quest design
    - Update scheduling is stellar (Many updates with plenty of content has been delivered over the last few months, extremely rare in this adult games world)
    - Original Art is pretty

    CONS
    - Inconsistent Art style (Mix of handmade, AI and Paperdoll art)
    - Sex scenes are sub-par, lack animation, movement and expression
    - Absurd amount of over-exposition, no way to properly get a hold of the story without taking the long way out
    - Story will change goals and get complicated extremely fast, require taking attention to not get lost. Very easy to get confused anyway.
    - Too many characters in the game, leaves out the possibility of going far with any of them except the party. Also make it much harder to familiarize yourself with them, as recurring characters are rare.
    - Vastly inconsistent character progression. Many of them are not impregnable and are quickly forgotten once their quests are done with since most don't join the harem.
    - The game kinda forgets it's an adult game. Lose priority and the game can easily lose it's audience because it tries to become something else entirely.
    - Immense disparity between sex scenes. You'll basically be drip-fed sex scenes from time to time in the mid to late portions of the game.
    - Pregnancy game with not a whole lot of pregnancy stuff. EDIT: Okay apparently it's not a pregnancy game even tho the quest entirely revolve around having a 1000 offsprings. Honestly, i was perhaps too harsh on that front. There is quite some amount amont of preggo stuff. I think i'm just salty some of my favorite characters from late game didn't had any.
    - Characters lack visual interpretation, body language and action.

So yeah... I'm aware of the irony of the wall of text but its kind of unavoidable with this game.

Tbh i think the game needs a visual rework, at first it was kinda annoying cause theres so many dialogue, words, and jus letters, but thats what made me stay, but for some reason i feel like when i move to other games, this will be less interesting cause of lack of art and actions, theres like 2 panel of image for a whole sex of words, this need an art rework, the story and words are good pretty cool tbh, but i think thats all it has, the art is simply simple, its a bit of lacking, like it needs more details and such, itll make u blue balls tbh, hope they really do rework the arts or add more arts like a little bit of animation and details.

Definite 5 stars. The basic premise of the game is as the title implies: you've been given a quest to make 1000 babies with all sorts of monster girls (and I do mean all sorts: fuck mermaids, crab-girls, bee-girls, and all manner of furry tail). The sex scenes are well written and well drawn. The battles are a good mix of challenging and rewarding, and there isn't an emphasis on grinding (Edit: Hint: look at what the armor/equipment actually do. Stack bonuses on bonuses and you can do silly levels of damage). A definite must if you're into breeding and/or monster girls.

This game is a bit difficult to rate. On the plus side, it has a ton of content and is relatively well-written. It checks almost all the boxes of a great harem game. But my main criticism is that it tries to do a lot more, and this actually ends up detracting from the AVG experience. A few points in particular:

    - Overall, the game is a pretty fully-fleshed JPRG / VN hybrid. The battles can be pretty intricate, and the difficulty can fluctuate pretty wildly and require you to really pay attention to the various battle/equipment systems. If you want you can bypass a lot of this with the game's auto-battle settings, but this won't be sufficient for some of the endgame content. I went in to the game thinking the battle system would be relatively straightforward and not grindy (unlike a lot of Japanese AVGs), but.... well, after being initially merciful it did get harder, and unless one really likes JRPG mechanics then this detracts from the AVG pacing. I hope there isn't a ton of 100% completion content since I've given up on getting there.

    - The game is fairly long. This is normally a good thing, but in this game's case the length is largely due to a complicated "save the world from an evil conspiracy" plotline that tends to bog down even very good AVGs with tons of exposition. The game starts off with a fairly simple formula, where you go to various villages and do quests for monster girls, who then join your harem. Eventually you unlock a lot of harem-building options in your hometown, and this is pretty much where the game peaks... because after this there's a slow shift from the harem-building to the world-saving storyline which largely focuses on a new group of monster girl characters who are obviously inspired by One Punch Man's S-Class heroes. While the characters are still interesting, the AVG quality drops a lot. You still go around and do quests and fuck girls, but a lot of them are very generic at this point and don't join the harem.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

    - Another "bait and switch" of sorts that emerges throughout the game is that while initially all the characters have the same artstyle, later on a second very different artstyle is introduced for some of the NPCs... not sure why this happens, but I imagine it's mostly about it being convenient to reuse some sort of existing assets in a different artsytle. Then towards the end of the game a third artstyle is introduced that I think is probably based on AI art. I can understand why this happens but it indicates to me that maybe this all shouldn't have been in a single game. Additionally, the sex scene art is pretty formulaic and quickly becomes unexciting - pretty much all the sex scenes are based on a single artwork with a few variants.

Overall I think this is probably a great game for those who actively enjoy plot-heavy VNs (where the plot cannot just be skipped) even when that leads to long droughts between *interesting* sexy content (fucking a new generic NPC that you'll never see again after every quest becomes stale.) But I guess that wasn't what I was looking for. I don't think the problem here is intrinsically tied to the length or the JRPG nature of things, but that there was a definite tradeoff between having a rewarding harem game and having a fleshed-out JRPG with a world-saving plot that I actually don't think was necessary. Like one thing that I really liked was the training battles or the Coliseum Gauntlets, which often laced the JRPG battles with recurring characters that could be developed. I would have liked to see more of this, and that would be my personal suggestion to the author - rather than having 100+ "fuck and forget" NPCs that repeat the same personality archetypes (admittedly they are different kinds of monster girls), have a more-limited core set of harem characters where the JRPG mechanics are more focused around interacting with them and developing relationships. Like you could've done the Hero Association thing, but you battle the girls and level up with them and develop them (sidenote: I'm really sad that there was basically zero use of clothing damage in the game!) There was a lot of this, but I would've liked for there to be more.

One of the best, maybe even the best RPGmaker currently available. Now for the pros and cons

    PROS:

    • An incredible wide cast of character, which is always a plus, each having their own monster race and personality
    • A really engaging story, while really cliché at some point it still holds the candle after the many hours of gameplay
    • Sooo many hours of gameplay, this is one of the longest game I have played, and I still need to discover more things
    • different bonuses and side quests, while I don't think you need to clear them to beat the game, it added a nice element to the gameplay

    CONS:

    • Some character have very different art style than the usuals (some even look AI generated in late game zones :| )
    • The combat is really hard, and even with endgame equipment and cheats, I can't beat some arena bosses (even the "no combat" mode can lose some matches)
    • Some girls are lack content and would really need more event

Overall, I really loved this game and am glad to see it reach a conclusion. I hope the developer had a blast making it and can't wait to see its future work!

Wasn't expecting much going in to this game, not really a fan of RPGM games. What drew me in was the renders/artwork of the characters, they're all phenomenal looking. I also was not expecting to get drawn in to the story quite like I did, it is actually pretty captivating considering this game is seemingly made for you spank it to.

Story-From start to finish the story drew me in and kept me guessing about what was gonna happen, definitely threw me for a loop a couple of times. I kept coming back to play for the story, the fucking was just a bonus.

Art-Not sure if the characters used are drawn or rendered, but let me tell you it doesn't matter at all. All of the girls in this are wonderfully done, minus a few where their appearance before the sex scene with them was a small sprite that didn't look like much. But once they bent over boy let me tell ya!

Music-Most VN type games do not really have changing music, it's usually just some boring loop that plays throughout the entire thing. But holy hell this music matched the mood and what was happening in that scene, you could tell when something chaotic was about to happen because the music went all electric distortion.

I would give this game a 10/10 if I could, but unfortunately F95 only allows 5 stars. This game is worth any time you put in to it, as of this review the game is nearly complete with just the endgame stuff to finish up. I look forward to what TwistedScarlett produces in the future.

EDIT-Added postgame same rating as before, absolutely love it!

The best vanilla impregnation harem game. Even the gameplay, though mostly basic RPGM, manages to not overstay its welcome and actually requires a little thought on the hard difficulty. Thinking really hard there are minor nitpicks such as a lack replayability/customization which aren’t really a problem as long as you just hold on to your save, there’s a well made gallery so you're not forced to hold onto a different save for each of your favorite scenes.

Though the game is not technically finished it holds an exceptional amount of content which far exceeds most completed games on this site. The game also holds a great deal of potential for more content and the pace at which it receives updates is the fastest I have seen from any H game dev.

The art is consistent, high quality, and has a good number of different body types that are all conventionally attractive but still distinct. The artist focuses on what you would expect from an impregnation game, a lot of vaginal sex in a variety of positions with many different girls.

The worldbuilding and premise borrow from Hunter x Hunter but not in a way that’s overbearing or speaks to any real lack of creativity. The dialogue and characters are endearing, though I do find there’s a lack of antagonistic characters that could serve to introduce a bit more drama.

I rarely enjoy vanilla games, but it’s simply so well made and extensive I can enjoy it despite lacking my preferred depravities.

So, I haven't gone very far in the game, and I might some time, but I still wanted to leave a small review of my experience.
First of all, i'm giving it a 4* because it seems like there's genuinely a lot of decent/good content and diversity, and I would feel bad giving it a bad score when if not for a few things I would have probably 100% the game.

Here's my main gripe, in all of the "early game" which would be where i stopped, you're basically just hoping from scenes to combat to scenes, which ends up feeling boring to me, mostly because being an RPGM with people boasting that it had some solid turn by turn content, i hoped for more.
Instead, i end up doing easy fights in between scenes, and while you have some semblance of freedom as to where you go, it basically all leads to you doing the same thing.
Exemple, there's like 5 choices in the hunter exam area of what to do, but you can only do what the story wants, there's nothing on the side.

I'm sure those problems might be fixed later in the game, but I don't feel like going further for now, I might come back on this review once i feel like it.

    (NO SPOILERS)

I'm writing this review as of v18.1.2
I played through the game on RPG Master difficulty.

I finished Monster Girl 1,000 a few days ago and I honestly can't stop thinking about it. I can't bring myself to move on from it without writing a review, however sloppy it may turn out.

The gameplay itself is really enjoyable, though I can only speak to RPG Master difficulty as that's the difficulty I stuck with for the vast majority of the game. The combat was, to my enjoyment, very challenging at times, in particular some of the Training Arena fights as well as some of the Colosseum fights and the

, but if you're paying attention to the effects of your gear, you will become VERY powerful to the point of dealing multiple millions of damage per turn. Also, if you plan on doing a more completionist run---crafting all the top tier items, completing all of the side-quests and objectives, obtaining all of the achievements, unlocking every h-scene, etc.---then you may want to know that it took me 95 hours of playing to complete a majority of the game, and I still haven't completed all of the achievements available!

The story was a long but VERY enjoyable ride (not talking about the h-scenes, but those were good too! :p). It has a pretty straightforward good vs. evil theme, but the game does throw that concept through a loop a number of times with some philosophical and moral quandaries for your group to deal with stemming from the world itself, from the actions (or inactions) your party takes, and from the 'opposing side'.

Overall, the story was great, and the final act was absolutely epic and written really well in my opinion. Not to discredit the final act in any way, but if you're familiar with Shonen anime/manga it goes about as you might expect it to... that being said if you are a fan of Shonen, you will enjoy every second of it! I know I sure did. Also, the writing of the characters was so good that I legitimately cared for all of them by the end of the story. The world felt very fleshed out with so many unique areas and characters that have unique loveable personalities and quirks---even though some of them were admittedly fairly tropey, and a lot of h-scenes with non-important characters near the end were generic (fair enough)---it made Elysian feel alive. The art is also really great! There were a number of times throughout the game where I was thoroughly impressed by the beautiful landscapes and cities, and of course the h-art as well!
Also-also, the soundtrack was great! It really fit the game well, and now Ucchii0 - CONFRONT, Sewerslvt - I Really Like You, Pt.1 & 2, Running In The Night (Sewerslvt Remix), Drown (Sewerslvt Remix), and
AZALEA - 卒業ですね (Sewerslvt Remix) are stuck in my head on repeat, and have found a permanent residence in my playlists.

I almost wish I could erase my memories of playing so that I could go through it blind again, hah. A feeling that only great experiences achieve for me! I'll absolutely be sticking around for the post-game updates, and I'll run through it again in a few years like I do with other great RPGs that I've played just so that I can re-experience the incredible story all over again.

Monster Girl 1,000 is so much more than its h-scenes. It's legitimately a great game. Despite the stigma of being an h-game, where people seemingly cringe at the thought of an h-game being praised like this, I honestly can feel that the experience this game gave me is gonna stick with me for a long time. I understand this game will not be for everyone, but I seriously recommend that you give it a try. Play it.

It's a rare gem that satisfy both my cravings of a well written story, good art and lots of h-scenes.
    pros:
    • lots of monstergirls
    • each of them has a backstory
    • pumkin queen arc (all of it)
    • the ending is tropey, cheesy and yet very satisfying.
    • interesting combat mechanics tied to equipment
    cons:
    • some of the later scenes feel incomplete (usually for side characters), with cgs not including heads or dialogue that seems repeated

Really fun classic RPG game and has a well written story and even several sub-plots for multiple characters. Definitely something you can sink several hours into and have fun, and plenty of great waifu material.

Solid game and probably one of my top 10, but it has quite a bit of room to improve so it's a 9/10 for me.

+ The writing is immaculate. Very compelling story and character development for this type of game and English is near perfect with only minor typos once in a while.

    + Art is great.

= No animation (which is better than bad animation but I still think almost all of the scenes could use more CG if nothing else).

= Crafting is almost too complex. Again, this is better than the other extreme of absolutely braindead copy paste gameplay of every other rpgm, but at the end of the day it's a fap game and I'm not trying to make a spreadsheet for all the sources of loot I need to craft weapons.

    - The sheer amount of characters means most of the minor ones are just reskinned scenes with identical dialogue.

This is the best game on this platform. Full stop. TwistedScarrlet is the true god of this world, and we're just lucky to be here at the same time as such a genius. I fucking love this game.
Characters, humor, story, sex, combat, lore, and anything else you can want it's here in spades.

This game is amazing. I'm not even sure if I have the words to describe how much I enjoy the game. Scarlett pulled zero punches when it came to writing this.
Only "complaints" I would have is
    1) Lack of options for story (I'm a sucker for VNs)
    2) Lag during combat (Old ass laptop)
    3) Overly wordy during some scenes
Out side of those niche complaints PERFECT blend of Turn based Combat and Artful story telling

Another excellent game by scarlett, and don't let the RPGM fear scare you away. Very nice variety of monster girls, no hardcore tags and a deceptively good plot. Excellent music, I'm personally a big fan of sewerslvt. The combat is quite enjoyable and the pacing feels nice with no real need to grind. Overall I would very much recommend this if you want an all you can fuck monster girl buffet.

It's becoming increasingly common in the dev industry that as standards grow, so does scope. A dev that increases their scope and their quality end up finding out that they've added so much work for themselves that they have to cut, but more often, they either burn themselves out or drag the game out.

MG1k is a rather large game in scope (dang if I wasn't expecting a literal 1000 girls, though 100 is still insane, funny enough I believe Alice jokes about it too), but instead of just being a game that really aims to have a literal 1000 girls, it actually has an even higher ambition of being a game with a full story and game component.

I think the biggest surprise for me was that the combat was actually relatively well balanced and fun instead of being a complete slog/trivial/ or a waste of time. It balances with the philosophy of everything being so crazy that nothing is, and it actually works. It's tough.

As far as story goes, I think it sets the tone early for being an often silly and tropey game at times, especially towards the end, but it is enjoyable. It plays out about exactly the way you would expect, but you enjoy every second of it. It's simple, but effective, and good.

I think the lewds were a slightly weaker part due to how copy and paste the scenes became towards the end, especially for a monster girl game, where a lot of games in this genre will have some of the weirder things that this game lacks. Some of the scenes clearly show more effort/quality than others, where the more minor characters get images that don't even show the heads. It sometimes felt like a sperm donor simulator.

Still though, it's hard to undersell how large of an achievement it is to make a fully fledged game, with visuals, gameplay, and a story, especially a game of this size, even having an entire coliseum/battle challenge section that you would expect from a classic RPG.
Especially with how frequent the releases are and how large each update has been, the game shows a lot of love.
But the biggest accomplishment here is that it is complete. Many games of this size burn out, or drag out, or are cut short, but the dev keeps delievering and keeps delivering.
Therefore this game joins the shortlist of fully fledged h games that are really good, and are also complete.

What I wonder now, is what is next for the dev? How do they follow up on such a large work? Go even bigger? Do smaller set pieces for a bit? Make a sequel? Do a new project?
Whatever it is, I will be watching it with great interest.

This is one of the top ero games that I have every played. They storytelling and world building was incredible, so much so that they could stand on their own with out the sex scenes. Combat never really felt stale. There were some sections that were a bit grindy but could have been passed with less grinding that I did.

It's a finished western monster girl harem game with lots of CG, a combat system that's actually playable, and a decent story to accompany it. Don't expect a lot of hardcore tags but what is there is hot enough at least.
