Ack didn't expect an update... Didn't even have time to go through 23.5f lol.
For some reason it doesn't let me use my old save files and the new ones are all in one save file called "persistent". anybody could help me with that?
Was about to tell you to update the saves again but yeah, getting crashes on booting up the character screen, can't use the previous saves. Updating from 23.5f (in town, as stated by Threshold) if that helps...

edit: Try saving just one file (backup your old saves!), update, and try again Zanmaraxa.
Worked here, too many saves and autosaves breaking things, apparently.
Also make sure you delete files in AppData so you don't end up with ghost/dupe saves.

Is the stats right? Why do I think that easy mode should have more stat points than hard mode?
Everything checks out mathmatically.
Arousal and energy at 1pt per 10. spirits at 3 points per.
easy mode = 109 points total (93 changeable)
normal mode = 59 points total (43 changeable)
Hard mode = 42 points (26 changeable)
Arousal has a min of 50, energy at 20, and everything else at 1 (that's 16 points locked in place). beyond that (and the 3 spirit cap when not on easy) you can redistribute the points as you see fit.
If you want, on easy you can start with 50 Ar, 20 en, 30 spirit, and 1 on each stat.

True.... Technically it does seem like it. But at a glance I was confused why they don't follow the same logic.

Love the update so far. Shame we didn't get a Venefica romance option for now, but i hope thresh considers the idea in the far future.

I have an issue with the update and would like some help.

So, i installed the new version on top of the old one, the game shows it's installed correctly when i look at the version, and i load a save i made in town, but i don't seems to see any new content. No one has new dialog, and on the map, there is no new areas to explore. I'm level 60 ish and did most of everything we could in the earlier version.

What obvious thing escapes me so that i can continue and not restart from the beginning?

Don't install new versions on top of old ones. That's the number one thing not to do with Renpy.

Use two separate folders when migrating to a new version. You'll have different code from different versions if you do this among other things and this will confuse the hell out of the engine.

Have a backup of your old saves (archive, folder, your call) with one of them being in town and use the update save feature to make it compatible with the latest version. Save again, load and make sure everything looks fine.

If everything is working as intended, delete the folder for the previous version after making sure you didn't leave anything important in there (changed code, mods, saves).

How can i update my save files? The thing is my saved games don't even show up when i click on "Load game" is like the game can't even recognize they're there. is not like when you select a saved game outside of town from a previous version and then it gives you an error message.

Which version did you last save with? Mine used a version from ages ago when finally updating to 23.5f and worked fine. Not sure what caused the fuckup with 23.6 but removing all autosaves (from both folders) and keeping just one save before updating again worked fine.

I'd say check the following (windows instructions, if someone has linux/mac/android/ios knowledge please adapt) folders for .save files
- %APPDATA%/Roaming/Renpy/MonGirl-unixtimestamp/ (not sure that's an actual UNIX timestamp but looks like one - 1496073722 here, somewhere around May 29, 2017)
- %ROOT%/game/saves/ (%ROOT% being the path you extracted/installed the game in, e.g. "X:/games/Threshold/MonGirlDreams")

auto-id-LT should be your automatically generated autosaves and id-LT should be your actual saves. Both folders should also have persistent data.

Not sure if that helps, sorry if it doesn't.

Really? I feel like her old theme was perfect, like her character was made for that track, its cute and jazzy, like her
I think of reserved & mysterious before I think of cute & jazzy for her. Gren is more of a jazzy character, and her theme reflects that (assuming by jazzy we mean lively and showy). The old theme would work well for a rowdy carnival girl, or a forward casino girl. But yeah it's probably the catchiest song in the game, four colors is up there too
