Yknow I read the whole monster girl encyclopedia I know all the monsters girls by heart
Besides that tell me your favorite girl and why?
That's something I've been racking my brain over for a long time. I can't choose between 3 (really 4) MGs.

Basically I really like the ones I find cool and strong. The thing is..., I'd prefer to not go for a harem because I'd like to focus my attention on one MG (but if that were to happen so be it) so it'd be great if there were a MG that had elements of all 3. The good thing though is that it wouldn't be too out of place to find them all in the same place: the Extremist faction. This is probably just me wanting to have my cake and eat it too.

Ah you like the more submissive leaning girls?

Ochimusha's whole thing is that she views you as her master, and wants to submit to your every whim and do things for you.
Kunoichi's the same, except the way the lord/servant dynamic starts is different, because she's usually sent to "assasinate" you.
Devil's whole thing is that she makes contracts of equal opportunity. In order to fulfill her contract with you she basically has to take care of you physically. So she's a temptress that asks for what she wants in your body and can't refuse your asks.

Still though... Cool and Strong.
I feel like you'd like the Lizardgirls and Dragongirls right? Cause that's their general vibe. Red Oni's too are very much along those lines.

I can see the charm of submissive girls but I actually lean more the opposite way (not hard M but more so MG taking the lead so no Dark Elf). I tend to like more assertive girls. I'd rather be pushed down and attacked than the other way around. I've thought about this a lot and...

I didn't want to mention Dragon or Malef Dragon (the 4th) because I would feel compelled to add a handful of other MGs (MGE has really great monster girls) to the list and I've thought about those 3 the most. It doesn't make sense but I'm hesitant about Lizardman and I don't know why.

I genuinely love all the MGs that Kenko's made. I can't dislike any of them, and my favorites list keeps changing. Right now, my top 6 are the bicorn, holstaur, kikimora, soldier beetle, automaton and bunyip. There's something about kuuderes in love that is just *Chef's Kiss*

I think kenko mentioned in a blog somewhere once that, regarding information about the RPG, he wants to keep everything in the dark and then release the full version to surprise everyone.

the only reason i believe kenko that he truly does this is because of his reputation as a dilligent worker, he's working on MGE since 2007, so he can keep at it. sadly for us, this results in a dev with the work-speed of a Valve employee, the perfectiosinm of Stanley Kubrik, and the need for surprises of a nintendo employee.

so yeah, the reason we have no new info is because kenko is keeping quiet and diligently working on his game in peace. nobody knows, and he ain't telling. so why does it take so long? once again, perfectionism. this quote would describe him perfectly: "Every single frame a painting made exactly how I wanna make it."

My personal opinion: I dislike the way KC has given zero updates for this game. I fully understand why this thread has the Abandoned tag. At the same time, KC has continued to update the actual encyclopedia regularly (a recent addition is the ).

Did they confirm they were finishing the game first? I vaguely remember them saying that they plan to release another demo eventually a while back, but I'm not sure. Don't think we'll see the game for a really long time if the former is the plan with how much he plans for the each monster girl to react to various items, events, etc.

I still wonder what changed their mind about being privy about any information on the game when they were quite open about the development when they first started working on it.

He talked about this stuff in Patreon posts (some of that info might be somewhere in this thread) so I'm going off memory but, he's working on both the encyclopedia and the game with the majority of his time spent on the game (about 2-3x more time on the game he said IIRC)

■ Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG Status

I'm aware that the lack of progress updates may have led some to fear that the project has been halted. I apologize for causing such concerns, but please be assured that the game is being actively developed.

Currently, I spend about a week each month working on creating new species, while the remaining three weeks are dedicated to the production of the Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG (MGERPG). The main reasons for the prolonged development time are my own perfectionist tendencies and the vast amount of dialogue text for the Monster Girls. While I have hired staff to help with map chips and music, the dialogue of the Monster Girls is the most crucial aspect of MGE. It captures the personality of each Monster Girl, and it's not something I can simply delegate to someone else. I sincerely apologize for the extended wait, but my desire to express my ideal vision of MGE in a game format leads me to want to spend as much time and effort as necessary. I kindly ask for your continued patience.

The reason for the lag in updates is that I didn't want to release any incomplete information that might spoil the fun of the game when the demo is made public. I understand the desire for updates and am contemplating the best way to share information. I will create a separate article specifically about Monster Girl Encyclopedia RPG and inform everyone at a later date, so please wait a bit longer.
I also remember KC saying it was a bit time consuming to have his posts translated because he always wants to confirm the accuracy of the TL which is time consuming for him obviously (now imagine the same level of care when it comes to the amount text in the game). It seems the biggest speed bumps are the amount of text and KC's perfectionist tendencies (the art is done relatively quickly).

BTW the latest I've heard about the game is that music has been made for Zipangu and Dragonia which was surprising to me; never thought we might go that far (keep in mind that this is just music).

making the music for the game if you didn't know ($1/m to support if you want btw). Apparently he has a Subscribestar page too but I can't find it.

Oh sweet. i loved what i read about the two places, can't wait to explore them in the RPG when the time comes, otherwise why make music for them? and to be fair, the RPG is less a game for me and more of an in-depth exploration of the MGE world. i feel like i get to know a world much better if i can experience it than read about it. might sound cheesy, but i really want to learn and explore this setting a lot and how exactly the people there live, act, and speak.

I still think he should give updates. Even if it costs him money to translate those updates to english. The amount of money he could get from just promises would be incredible. I say this in good faith. This place has proven that you do not need to provide much for people to throw money at you if you have a good idea. Hell, devs here have milked people for years on literally nothing but excuses about why they are not making an update. 115 pages for a game that has the abandoned tag shows just how much more money kenko could be making if he just posted an update every 3 months saying "game is still in development btw". No need to even show anything, and I think it would help development and his life if he had that money.

Yeah, that's definitely the post I remember. Was actually referring whether the game is going to be finished before being released, or if there'll be another demo, but it seems like another demo so far is still the general plan, which is far more feasible for us ever living to see it.

Got to give Kenko credit for remaining stubborn on the idea of it being a surprise, despite the lower monthly pay from dissatisfied patrons (well, at least before it was taken down).

Yeah more money would probably help him focus on the game more (I think he has a day job). That being said, he has said that he doesn't want to become famous or big and that he's not making the game with the purpose of it being a commercial success; this is purely a passion project to let people explore the world of MGE. So I wouldn't expect him to prioritize making more money (and it'll take quite some time).

I feel the need to direct you to the Mist Continent which also has music made. I myself would like to visit The Land of the Four Fiends (in the Mist Continent), Zipangu (and the great prison there to meet the Lilim in charge there), Dragonia, and the Underworld where Demons apparently come from.
