dude. I am being serious. i think you being on this site/forum is bad for your mental health and the future of this project. it clearly is just making you upset over & over & over again. tune it out and focus on what you love! that's what i was trying to say, but...

if you're going to take me out of context to make it sound like I'm insulting you by just replying to 'my hope is that DreamDemon goes away from this forum' and nothing else I said then you can go fuck yourself lol
Why would I frame someone who praised my talent and passion and was willing to help me with music and sound?
I didn't know the norms around here, I just wanted to respond precisely to that topic.
I know you mean well.
I understand why you want me to leave this quagmire, but you don’t know why I’m still here.
I just wanted to explain why I chose to stay here before.
Even though I also knew it might harm my spirit.

Actually, I think the incident is already over.
I also don't need to stay on guard anymore.
Now I'm just waiting for this place to decline.

fair enough. there seems to be some things about your way of communicating that I was also missing.

apologies for the initial response, and my offer for assistance in the future still stands.

best of luck in whatever you may do.

The last time I was here I think it was last year and everything was fine but go in to see what's new and I see the abandoned tag, what did I miss?

Simply put. The Developer abandoned it. Stopping the project entirely.
I think that is all you should know. I mean it, in a good way, really.

You'll most likely to get genuinely upset if you dig, and found it. That is my advice to you. I ain't stopping you, though.

As you may know, the dev didn't really bother protecting his game beyond the Patreon paywall, despite really not liking the fact that it's being leaked here.

Not too long ago, someone leaked an update literally minutes after it dropped on Patreon, using a throwaway account (iirc). That, combined with the fact that we were already frustrating him, triggered a very strong reaction. The game is now abandoned because of that, and apparently, the dev was already pretty burnt out and just wanted to rest anyway (not 100% sure about that, but that's what I remember after reading into it).

That's about it, I guess.

Game Developer >> Game Development >> Game >> Game Abandoned >> Patreon Abandoned >> ???

Hmmm, What's Next, Abandons "Game Developer" Badge On The Forum Now or Something?

Genuinely Curious.

Actually I got a better idea for that.
I raised my hand for "CUCKED DEVELOPER" badge. *runs

Does anyone an archive of the old World versions? Since the Patreon got (wayback machine does not have this saved) you cant download the old free ones anymore. The archive further up in the thread from 2 years ago is stalled since no one is seeding. One of them had Foxy scenes that aren't in her current theme build, and it uses some current Supply animations with the old Aya model that I liked a bit more than the updated one. Their page is also restricted.

I would like to know that too. I doubt that anything of this quality exists...

Succubus: The Lustborn Curse is a nice game if you don't mind a female protag.:)

Thank you.
Making a 3D female character is harder than making a monster.
Players don't care if the monster model is simple.
But players care if the female character model is simple.
So games with lots of independent female mods are usually harder to make.
And they also tend to be more expensive.

True.
Sometimes it's funny how sometimes devs advertise 10,20,30 different characters/MGs, but they're actually all the same model, just different ears, tails or minor changes/modifications.:)

Which reminds me this game., uglywolf. Too bad it's pretty bare bones..because the concept is pretty good and it could have been more fun.

Sorry, searched the thread for like 10 mins and gave up when I just kept coming across people asking "which one do I download/"

Personally understand that, as someone who experienced with 3D modeling, at least... Still, can't actually agree 100% to it.

Yes, it wasn't easy to make 'a good' base humanoid model with exchangeable/optional parts system, especially when it comes to the difference on 'the rigging of monster parts', not to mention the part's animations, behaviors, etc. But it's not impossible to actually get a great result from it.

Sure, half-joking and referring to 3D hentai games.
Unless you mean to say that you also care about the refinement of non-female character modules in this category.
Well, okay... sorry.

I've seen some developers here have their paid patreon or subscribestar account then release it here a few weeks later for free. I've noticed that with that approach, if someone post the project early here it gets removed from here until the developer post it here a few weeks after the patreon release. Seems to be working for some developers. F95 lets you reach more people, larger than just for example patreon or subscribestar alone.

If the developer decided to do another project, maybe do something that appeals to a wider audience. Are many into the monster girl thing compared to the more popular vanilla tags here? I'm not sure. It was a good game from the few minutes i spent playing it though a year or 2 ago. The developer has the necessary skills to make a good game.

Just a though.

Based on Monster Girl Island, monster girl games definitely have the appeal to reach a wider audience. I'm not sure why Monster Girl Project never got that audience as its a much higher quality game. It might be due to the fact that the current iteration of World came really late into its lifespan, or because it never managed to get published to Steam while MGI: Prologue did, which is imo the main reason why it never got that broader audience as quality H-games blow up on Steam due to how much slop exist in the space - similar to Koikatsu Party back in 2018. I agree with the other user that not getting a publisher such as Kagura Games to handle the process with Steam was probably a big mistake in hindsight due to contentious content such as the fairies or the MC themselves, especially if you're not a native english speaker.
