What? There wasn't any mind controlling stuff in the MGQ, unless you lose and get a game over.
You should give the original MGQ a try, and not be deceived by fanfiction.
If Alice hypnotizes Luka i'll skip this game as well, I hate unavoidable mind conroll as much as NTR.
The truth is that the original interests me less. I like RPG games, but only that really are (I want to be able to move my character around the screen, like games made with RPGM). This looks more like a VN with RPG elements, and that doesn't convince me at all. I don't think I've ever finished a game with these characteristics.

It is possible that the continuation, which is RPGM, I will try it.

I guess Alice will be the Lamia, I haven't gotten to the point where she says her name. For now I have only found that she is a bossy witch, and the MC not a strong-willed person (has given me the impression of being an MC destined to be dominated by others). It isn't that the little that I have played invites me to want to play the original and its sequel. In fact I have already deleted this one, so I doubt that I will continue it.

You can play Paradox as a stand alone i gues? Plots are tied together, but it's not entirely a sequel.

Alice does hypnotize Luka if you refuse to answer her, but it's a plot thing, that only happens once there at the beginning, while they don't know each other, and Alice is lost and needs to situate herself. Usually, she complains about Luka's decisions but never interferes, story-wise she is really a passive character. But I'd really like to ask you to push forward a little more, you didn't even finish the prologue. There's a ton of character development in this game, even more in the remake. Please, play it at least until you meet Alma Elma, if by then you still aren't interested, drop it, you really won't like the rest.

The event he refers happens in MGQ VN as well, if Luka refuses to answers Alice or if he tells her to prepare food herself, more as a joke than anything else. There is no Luka being mind-controlled here, in fact, most of the story is the same, there are a few changes and additions, but the same key events happen in the remake as well.

Personally, I will think about continue the game. But for now it may be difficult for me to enjoy the game: Even if I choose now the options where she doesn't hypnotize your character, Alice will be someone who can hypnotize the MC whenever she wants. It doesn't matter that she never does it again, it's the simple fact of knowing it that bothers me.

Well Alice is strong a hell, and can destroy Luka with only her pinky at this point of the game, Luka obviously get stronger as the game goes, but if that really bothers you, she'll stay there for 2/3 of the game, I strongly suggest you just filter her superpowers, because the story is really good. And the hypnotism is temporary and Luka gets back to normal just after, I'm not sure if she can keep it for longer periods of time because such a thing never happened in the game, Luka is also quite weak by the beginning, and it's not established at any point if she still can hypnotize him when he gets stronger, or at which point she can't anymore. Basically, that's something done as a joke, to show how strong and troublesome Alice is and not as a serious plot point, I included it because it was in the original VN and it was funny.

There's so much things that could happed in so many games, that, with such a mentality, you're sooner or later will develop existencial anxiety.:(
It's such a common situation though, there's many characters capable of pretty horrible shit if they use their skills, but they never use them, but you know they can. Just name a couple of games you like and one of them probably has one of those.

I'm really just talking about mind control. Not other Skills. I don't care that, for example, Alice can kill the MC with almost no effort, it's something I've basically taken for granted from the beginning.

Like, every single character that has even slightest mind bending abilities could brainwash or even mind brake someone. Like i said, it's a road straight to existential anxiety.
Maybe that's why I systematically avoid games where there is mind control. I also don't usually like them if it's the MC who does it, by the way.

There's like dozens of characters with mind control (and dozens more with hypnosis powers) in comics and anime and manga and tv shows and etc. You probably have a phobia. :(

I may be a very strange person, but I don't like mind control in games (more precisely in porn games, I have no problems with mind control in D&D for example) it's a mania because of how it is normally used in these games. I have no problem watching series with characters who have mind control, or reading comics or watching movies.

I'm going to give the game a new try. Thanks for your explanation.

I think that further arguing about my tastes is totally out of place in the thread. I suppose that everyone has different tastes, and I admit that mine are quite particular.

Like I have been a bit exaggerated with mental control in this game since surely there is only that scene, but that doesn't mean that I like it. And I may have some phobia that a Lamia controls my mind and drains me to death ;)
