Chaos route won't be a choice till you do both other routes first. As for difficulty is that trouble your having straight after where part 2 or part 3 demo ends?
So I just beat Monster Route. A very bittersweet ending. Massive spoilers next, very summarized of events that happen and which characters die:
And as for small comments that I don't think need spoiler and is nice to know:
- Alice becomes an adult right after the part in the demo.
- We encounter the Angel World version of King Sabasa, who's a woman. We need her and the Monster World version to resurrect the King Sabasa from the parallel world.
- Quetz, Tezca, Sun Wukong and Azi Dahaka join our party from the group that were allies to Black Alice after realising Chaos Alice had zero intention to care about anything but herself. Izanami and Himiko get killed because despite all of this they're still loyal to her.
- Laplace joins our party in this route, yaay! The other members are done so because of Kagetsumugi.
- The Four Heavenly Knights in the Angel World are the little chibi monsters in our world. You get to meet them as adults, and they've basically become professional Angel killers after all the crap they went through. They're actually very surprised how different their young selves are, and how successful they are too LOL.
- We get to recruit all the Mechanized versions of the four spirits. Their recruitment is quite funny, pretty much similar to how it went with the other four.
Heading straight to the Angel route now, I won't be checking the comments until I'm done, but feel free to ask for when I come back. My overall opinion is that it was quite the interesting chapter. It's a bit more lineal but to be honest I don't think it was that possible to create that many sidequests when the chapter is very straightforward and constantly moving to the next thing, so I'm fine with this. Really looking forward to the Angel route honestly.
Just be careful if you play the game, mobs are true HP sponges, if you don't want to waste too much time recruiting monsters I heavily suggest you tone down the difficulty for a bit. And get ready for a grinding session because you need the new sealed jobs and races, otherwise your damage is going to suck.
Mph... ok, let me see if I understand correctly then.
From what I understand from these 2 critical comments and the general idea of what was commented on the recent pages.
Are you telling me that when one selects the third option in the "big decision" and it presents us with that bad quick ending where it takes us to the birth of Hild so that in the end the white rabbit takes us back to the beginning of the big decision, it´s a bluff that deceives us that there is no third option, in order to play the 2 routes, each one of which even if you do them quickly are 10-12 hours of gameplay each, so that in the end you can finally play the true route (chaos) to be able to have the true ending? And given that according to the gallery list the Neris scenes are one of the last to be given, does that indicate that in order to finally know her story and Nero's in this whole matter, they´re tied to the chaos route and therefore, 24-26 hours of gameplay?
My God, not even having to play Nier:Automata 5 times to get to the true ending was that complicated, especially when even with recruitment or steal increases, it isn´t easy to get the collectibles or recruit, given that in part 3 there are too many enemies that are immune to time effects, weakness or slow damage like poison, since as mentioned they are life sponges.
Yes... I think I'll take it easy then and play part 3 with Metaphor in between, since the game and the story are amazing, but it's quite a drag having to play the same thing or almost the same thing (due to the route) for so long, in fact... honor and respect to those who are already on their second route or even the chaos route, but please, don't die, also give yourself time to live.
It's probably even more wild to you when it comes to the question "are so many enemies and CGs needed" but that's your case to solve.
Bro, what do you expect if literally in the demo of each chapter they´re giving you the entire previous game and the CG´s of said previous chapter when we were just about to see the next chapter come out, on the internet it´s extremely easy to find said CG´s and download them from the previous part? And given that to play the most recent story, you need to access things that are in the previous chapters, so unlike what happened with the original trilogy, where you had to have each chapter in order to be able to play that part of the story or else, you only started from that point in the story you buy since it isn´t so "easy" to pass the files of the past parts if you don´t look for them well, so their only alternative for each part apart from its "update" of the story, to have something to "sell" you was and are the CG´s although in the end it´s something extremely easy to pass, that is why there are so many enemies, in order to justify the price.
So under your "logic" that there's no need for so many enemies, although true, the only alternative for them to sell was literally making each "part" of the story start and end in the same one, since RPG maker doesn't have any easy save compatibility option, so there's no way to "follow up" the story and therefore, as it happened with GoW or Witcher games in each chapter, they would have had to have created an excuse for Luka to have no equipment, level or companions, which leads us to break with the RPG joke, which is to do the opposite of the original trilogy, that's why the Angel Halo never comes back to our hands (as far as I know), since how do you justify that the weapon that is capable of sealing and "avoiding" having to fight the same monsters (basic essence of an RPG) suddenly doesn't do it anymore or that being the ultimate weapon in the lore, suddenly a blessed fish bumerang or rainbow sword +2 does more damage?
Also, bro, are you sure you're not too drunk? the disparate art or from multiple artists is the essence of this saga, since the original trilogy, there is a great variety of enemy art and scenes, since the joke (at least what I understand) is to emulate a bit how Luka sees the enemies he faces, since for example, many jokes have been made about Luka's height, but a key that always exists and has existed is that curiously, no one in the original trilogy or in Paradox has ever made any comment about Luka being "short" or that he looked more like a child than an adult, the only one that exists is when in the original trilogy, Luka meets Granberia for the first time and even so, Granberia said it because Luka, as was logical, being a simple first-class rookie, was shitting himself with fear seeing such a strong opponent in his third canonical fight after starting his adventure, which is why despite the fact that in the "art" they present him to us as someone even "childish" if you want, that doesn't mean that in reality it´s that, so if what you want is an absolute art that defines everything, then you are simply playing the wrong game bro.
That even despite the above, the final part has very little good art or that most of the monsters are not convincing? It is a truth as a temple.
That the good art as an example of the tanuki boss and her second in command, Neris, some ancestors and some angels are very good, but they´re or have little art or on the other hand others that not even the most extremist would like to touch the goose, have too much art? Another true like a temple but, although in the case of some art like Neris, from what I understand, the artist simply didn't want to make art since when he was asked to create Neris, he was open to making art of all kinds and instead nowadays, the artist hates making art with characters like Neris, so since there was a commitment, he only limited himself to the minimum and nothing more, or for the Tanuki mentioned, as they would be within the content block that would be included in the demo, Torotoro explicitly asked the chosen artist for very little art, since then it´s more of a headache to have the demo version with 1 scene written and then in the full version having to leave the others written, due to the issue of how RPG VX maker works.
In the end, Paradox is a headache as it is set up? An absolute truth as a temple and even a universal law, but at least in the end Torotoro was loyal and fulfilled what was promised in his proposal when more than one thinks, criticized the creation of Paradox, since at the time in the JP community, there were too many who criticized the decision to create Paradox so "relative" shortly after the end of the original trilogy and that instead of continuing from that story, we would start again from the beginning but different in Paradox. And that despite the difficulties that arose in the development, they never considered changing to an easier base to work with since as they said in a comment: "it would be a bigger waste of time for both parts to re-assemble everything on another base and our commitment is to give a worthy closure to Luka's story above all." Something that even among JP creators, is something worthy of respect and honor, since as many of us know, it´s very tempting to enter the reboot cycle and continue reaping the benefits of those who support, since even if they aren´t much, their Ci-dlsite has income.
