i think both routes start the same, revive the bird, go to san ilias, filler, hellgondo, choose route, talk with the godness of said route, go back to the original world and visit the opposing route tartarus (if you choose angel you'll have to get elma first, shes resting on the chief house of the sucubbus village) pass tartarus and then do part 3
edit: i also think youre gonna have to get the 4 heavenly knights if you choose the monster route
edit2: bird is located on the bird shrine or 鳥の神社 if your game's japonese

Where do you go to revive the bird? I played through the first two years ago--but I don't have the time to re-play everything just to familiarize myself with the map

I am sure there is an accessory totally stop random encounters but you get it very later in the game.

Just go at the locked basement in luka village (where the imp is) it will be there

ArzorX (the fan translation team) has been really quiet on their blog for a while, are they still working?

Yeah, the team are constantly updating the translation. The last commit on the demo translation was put out three days ago. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before they merge the translation into the main game though. They're probably going to play it first, and it's a long ass game.

You are absolutely crazy, the only way to get such a fast translation would be with the help of AI, Part 2 with a small team, not sure if they where 4 or 5 on it, but it took them almost 6 years to fully translate, and part 3 is bigger than 1 & 2 combined according to creator and judging by the size it's probably true. Regardless, the team got more experience now, so it might be a bit faster, but if they refuse to use AI, it's gonna take at a MINIMUM 3 years. So I hope really hard they're gonna go AI route and just fix it up themselves after.
