I'm walking through the side content now, how in everything that is holly, has anyone been able to clear it before the fight? o_O
The money alone for the dresses, costumes and... erm... accesories takes so many days :S

That moment when you think people was stealing characters from another game...and you want to scream and defend Droid Productions from such crime and villainy.

Such justice. Such loyalty. We are the porn game pirates of old.

Was happy when I read that it's actually a new game by the same creator. I haven't tried it yet, but I like these games. Little sad that it wasn't Go Fish this time around.

"So you have any 8s?"

"Go fish!"
You take 13dmg.

Side content totally can't be cleared before Day 16 :) Now, admittedly, some of this is me prepping act 2, but then I also have other stories to bring online (Gabby, Katja, Winston). So... I suspect Morningstar will be a story where time very much matters

Please, do remember for other chapters, to leave us some free time to clear out side content though, especially on the last two chapters :) While we can do it reloading the last save, it just feels so much better if we can do it while actually playing the game if you know what I mean. P.S: I'm walking on snowdrop's event now, if I'm not allowed to kill him, or mutilate him for life, You'll be loosing a good point with me my good droid!

*edit: I am pretty satisfied with the punishment.* suggestion: add an actual visit to the bathroom to throughly clean the MC's hands as he suggested in the dialogues.

That was a very satisfying event to write :)

I'd have broken the bottle as well personally... :) Nothing like a sore ass for life to be reminded one needs to be decent to snowdrop :D
You still haven't gotten to the end of that storyline, but it is indeed one the best chunks in Morningstar so far.

Sexiness, Lin wins. Range, Snowdrop wins.

So are we talking Emily or Katie for main LI and the rest on the side?
So there is an overall story, and inside that story both Emily and Katie could be main LI's... it would change things, for sure, but two directions is manageable. I'm still prodding at it, but... part of me loves Katie almost as much as I love Emily, and she got treated badly in LoM.

I bought your magic games on Steam and now you're releasing more.

I'm trying to save up here, you're not making it easy.
Steam sales be it brutal on our wallets must be hell on developers. :) It's a good thing to support smaller devs as much as possible as they're the ones that are willing to be creative / unique / risky to bring a loved game out instead of formulaic trash that several larger studios tend to pump out every few years.

Droid, keep up the good work :) -- Still waiting on Book 3 to go live instead of being a beta build on Book two though :D

Right, and now, onto the criticism:

First point, the combat:

The match3 game, unlike your poker previously, is way too restrictive as far as mix of skills go.

Previously, we had a rather large amount of choice on effects and bonuses, simply due to the amount of potential results from your hand.
On this one however, we're limited to a four choices. Meaning, and I assume you did that on purpose, some colors, will be useless to you, aside from matching 4 for an extra turn.

As far as skills go however, we really do not have a lot of mix and match potential with only 4 slots.
My suggestion would be two more slots, BUT, a restriction on the amount of colors we can use instead.

As it stands, if you pick two of the same color, one will rarely, if ever, fill up. Simply because out of so little amount of colors, since your adversary will share at least three with you, it becomes really long to build up your skill, and honestly boring, to try to set things up.
Unlike in your poker, were you could apply some tactics, on this one, it's virtually impossible.

Add to that the very little amount of battles we can do in the allotted amount of time, unless you're planning to add a lot more ways to gain exp and levels, soon, combat is more than likely going to become a chore, and will bore people rather quickly.

Lack of sexy time:

You know me, this was coming... lack of sexy times, especially with the redheads, this is a crime. Period :)

Story:

It seems to be starting pretty well, however,

The side quests:

They're mostly fine, but, getting them to trigger, is too costly and too long in my opinion.

We just end up having days talking to nobody, just training/running/drinking/eating, with nothing of note happening.
Considering the length of the first chapters, using the side quests to fill up the "empty days", would make the player have a better experience, and it'll feel a lot less grindy this way as well in my opinion.

Skill points / Stats:

Like in LOM, unless you've played it, it is impossible to even start to guess how many points you'll be needing in the chapter to succeed on any given interactions. Considering the limited time we have day wise, this will, like in LOM, force people to either cheat, or replay from scratch trying to guess the values needed to pass the checks.
Adding an option to retry them a couple of days laters, would in my opinion, be the bare minimum, as I assume we'll end up missing sexy scenes because of this. Early on, the game is still small it's fine, but in LOM, well, you know how long it was... replaying it just for an extra scene or two... the games are nice... but......... :)

I just started playing and I must say it is weird to see USA cities associated with celtics references such as seelie or unseelie or even Merlin ^^'
I hope it will not be too weird to see Emily, Bella and the other in a different city with same name and same appearance. I fear it may be hard to see this as a new story with so many refs to the previous one (But I will still play because LoM is just too good and i want to see for myself ^^)

It would be nice if Katie wasn't locked out of the main relationship this time, it is truly sadin LoM

To be fair my poker gameplay was : Emilly use sword, Bella use Hammer, X use yourself (I think all these do over 3500 damges) then Molly use sorcery and with all my joker I could deals up to 1000 more damages per rounds.
Poker was nice at start but i'm not sure it was a real challenge for a long time since our followersgot their upgrades XD

Has anyone found "Ready.Aim.Fire"? I got all the others, but that one, I can not find the flyer anywhere.

I assumed it would be in the chili restaurant, since it's the only main map without one, but I'm not seeing it anywhere in there, regardless of the time of the day I go there.

Also, what is that cat doing in the cafe? :D
