For the third one it does not and I don't want to ask for patreons amount for free. It's okay to wait for me, I am unhappy with steam not droid or anyone around.

Cheeky little Lin getting us banned from Germany. It's always the ones you least suspect that cause the most trouble.

I really enjoy these how the sausage gets made posts. It's interesting learning about all the behind the scenes stuff that goes into making and releasing games.

I strongly suspect steam wouldn't even notice it, unless you became a top tier game maker.
If they did, they'll probably just contact you to remove the scenes for germans, or simply block the game in germany without being able to untick the box or something along those lines.

The issue could be dealt with by implementing a proper age check, and that'd be the end of it.
From their reaction, they simply don't give a fuck about the adult market in Germany, most likely, because it's not THAT big.

Only about 20 millions or so gamers 20 and over. And we all know, only a fraction of that would play adult porn games to begin with, so the market is simply not worth the time and cost of implementing a proper age check.

Based on that, I don't think they'd give a shit if you "omitted to tick a box or two". You'd probably just get a slap on the wrist and that'd be the end of it.

As far as I know, using VPN and paying with paypal bypasses the region locks on steam, BUT, if you get caught, they can terminate your account. I'm not sure they'd do it though, it's written in the agreement, but well, god knows if they'd actually do it.

Sure, but that includes under 18's as well I believe English level is ALSO an issue. Germany, the north of the EU and eastern European countries have a much better level of English that most of the other EU countries. I strongly suspect for the AVN, that this is a big factor as well.

On the adult market only, other EU countries were ahead, even before the banhammer fell. I suspect this has to do with the amount of hours worked within each countries (France for example, only having 35hours/week), meaning the adult population has more free time to play and so on.

I offered him by pm to buy and gift the game to him, I do not know if it would work or not, but if it does, that's one way we can go about it at least

But thats is not a long term solution, it looks like the UK will also enforce a verification, and the rest of the Eu will have that to - sooner or later.

I have doubt that the solution of geobann content for a specific country will go on much longer, or valve will lose the complete EU and UK market.

The big question is how should it be done? And how willing are the players to give her ID for pronographic content on steam, some steam accounts are shared between the family members and this type of content can lead to some awkward situations...

The "easy" solution, is to have the steam accounts verified, and once that's done, well, it's over, and only valve will know which games you purchase, as it is now.
I suspect it'll be something along those lines, as a verifying at each purchase, will just drive people to find... "alternative ways to procure the products" *chuckles*.

I'm guessing Valve will only do it once it becomes an actual financial issue sales wise for them, but, considering the market size for adult games, as long as it remains "targeted" to certain products within certain countries, the loss is really negligible for them.
As far as I'm concerned, if there's a credit card on file with them, this should serve as enough proof. I mean we know kids can ask their parents for their CC, but its usage is on the parents, not on steam. I suspect this would not satisfy the Germans and others though.
My best guess is that they'll ask for a photoID matching your CC at some point.

The "easy" solution, is to have the steam accounts verified, and once that's done, well, it's over, and only valve will know which games you purchase, as it is now.

Once that is done, they will lose a ton of money, because almost no one wants to give their personal info to some company, just to buy games. They will most likely move to another platform that doesn't want that.

Most of us won't move, and will simply do it. There's no decent alternative to steam.

I'd be surprised if the whole of the EU goes along with germany's stupidity on this one though. Some member states are a lot more prudish, others don't seem to give a shit about it. I'd be really surprised if anyone gets banned for buying a game in a different EU country though, that'd seem like it'd trigger a lot more serious laws about restriction of movement and free trade. Valve only seems to give a shit about people VPNing into reduced-cost markets like india for discounts.

There's 4 US states doing it now as well, Utah, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Pornhub has begun geolocking people out instead of dealing with the bullshit. If the laws don't apply to steam now they'll probably get around to fixing that sooner or later.

Just got done with the game, and I quite enjoyed it.
There aren't that many adult games that deal with mma genre in this site, so it is a welcome change to see the new game explore that, with the whole weigh-ins and staredowns.
Here's hoping the mma aspect is retained throughout the duration of this game, and not pushed to the side later for other matters; like for example, supernatural higher beings heirarchy stuff like conflicts between Unseelie Court and Hua Long etc etc.


I like several of the LIs, but damn, Lin has literally become my favorite; surprised with myself for that, considering she's a totally original character.

Droid Productions , I'm guessing you wanted to do something a bit different for her character, and not just reuse LoM Akane's assets for her design, compared to others such as Katie/Emily/Chloe/Bella/Snowdrop etc?


p.s. After our MC beats his current opponent, I can see the him calling out in the post fight interview the dude who beat him before "I want X next!", heh

Droid Productions , I'm guessing you didn't want to do something a bit different for her character, and not just reuse LoM Akane's assets for her design, compared to others such as Katie/Emily/Chloe/Bella/Snowdrop etc?

I think the work involved in creating a new Daz character, given a decent set of morphs and some Skin vendor packs, is a bit overrated; Daz is super good at that. For reference there's 80+ characters with speaking roles in Love of Magic.

Lin's a case in point; she, Kelly and April were three characters I whipped up so that the player could have some random pretty girls to train to make the PT sessions go easier.




I ended up falling in love with how she looked, and wrote her back in as a bigger character. Kelly also got a narrative update, and comes along as a foil for Lin.

In the case of Emily, MC and Katie, they had some work done on them to bring them into this world. I'm using Book 3's MC's main body, which is stronger and more muscular than his Book 1 body. His various Fae traits (the ears, the catseye irises, the glowing eyes) gets removed, since they don't fit the setting.

Similarly, Emily and Katie lose their Fae ears, Katie changes her side-shave tattoo to a Scottish Rose, and Emily's eyes change (they become a paler shade of blue, with higher-res textures). I also fixed up a lingering issue in Emily's skin, which I ended up patching in post previously

The two social media apps are Facial (messaging platform) and Titter (twitter feed). There's also a web-page that will get update as the game goes on.

Lin's content up to now ends at the first date; she's definitely got more content coming, both along her personal growth and her relationship with MC.
