Definitely a longer scale project; whether it'll be a 4 year project like Love of Magic... that's an open question
Most of the EU will not have a choice in the matter. The European Commission has an entire chunk of one of its DG basically dedicated to that. It will happen, and more than likely sooner rather than later.
My best guess is that it'll be one of the "selling points" of the digital ID they're pushing for so hard.

Squishyderpy dedicated to what exactly? what are you even on about? the whole idea of a digital ID comes from the west and it's been heavily lobbied against for close to 4 years now. they need, as of now, to convince over half the votary states for it to be implemented. and considering how much fraud said ID exposes you to, even if it's approved, it wouldn't be implemented for at least a decade. as for germans having their bs rule about porn games imposed on the rest of EU: why do you think merkel is this hated? she tried and got made fun of. outside of germany, no other country views pornographic material that badly, not even romania, where the church literally makes the laws.

I can't argue with your arguments at all, however, as we saw with some eastern countries not long ago, the EC can virtually force people to do as they say through grants and money.
Members may not like it, but they'll do it, and I certainly expect that to happen "soon", like a hammer falling down.
Just wait until the next pandemic or something like that, they've already pushed the QR shit everywhere with virtually no resistance, the next crisis, it'll be the digital ID.
Only thing I could see stopping it from happening, would be either the collapse of the EU, or of the European Commission. Neither of which seems too likely right now, unless the civil unrest keeps escalating everywhere.

While I was at first a bit skeptical of the whole 'Morningstar' setting, the first Act feels a lot more like Fables, or less-cyberpunk Shadowrun, than i.e. Lucifer, which is great, as variety of creatures, powers and pantheons was part of what made LoM fun for me.
Also Match3 has IMO a lot of potential for being even more fun gameplay than LoM's poker (I'm a big fan of original Puzzle Quest).

Still early days: finishing up love of magic act xvi before returning to that world
I was going to make another Emily sig, but I figured Katie deserves hers first.
Finally got around to trying it. Looks very promising indeed - same decent music, interesting characters, real depth of literate game lore. I loved the way the supernatural world and the modern (British Army) world combined in LOM, and it seems that something like that is going to happen here. I like it that it still lets you set the gameplay to "easy" and use auto in the fights: I play LOM as a VN, not a game of skill, and would wish to do the same here (due to lack of skill).
One thing however. I am away from home for an extended period and having been playing this on my Dell i7 laptop. It's a bit warm where I am and the laptop has been overheating and shutting down while playing the game. The laptop is quite capable of doing some serious photographic and video processing without overheating; this is the first time I have encountered such behaviour. I have no basis for comparison with LOM - I've always played that at home on a liquid-cooled tower gaming machine, so I don't know whether this is something about Unity, or something about the coding of this game. Would be interested to hear from someone who understands these things.

)If unity is using the network for any reasons, it could also be a very old bug with Intel network adapters.
It caused chaos a while back with certain mmos, but any engine trying to use the NIC, could potentially cause that bug as well.

And another Katie one, the VFX (especially the wide-time) turns out really subtle at the smaller resolution of a sig, but I quite like it.
