Lol. It's not the no choices part that makes it kinetic. It's the pictures and the sounds which make it kinetic.
Now, the real question is why someone chose kinetic novel for those with no choices, while visual novels are the ones with choices.
You could just flip the two terms around and it would just as good or bad.

I see some people here complain about the incest and other stuff, and then I remember some of these people would defend the story writing of the respective games. I don't get these people they defend the creative freedom of those devs then shit or in lighter context criticize about this upcoming game's incest.

I'm not a fan of incest, very few incest games are believable. Then you have Patreon incest games with their landladies and roommates bullshit, yeah, you can use a patch most times but whats the point?
Melody was far better than DMD storywise because the story of Melody can happen irl while DMD is just porn.

Yes. The point of games is to introduce scenarios that won't happen in real life - give you an avenue to explore your fetishes. Who wants to play a dating game where you can pick up random schoolgirls or thots at the bar? That stuff is pretty easy in real life if you keep your standards reasonable. On the other hand, banging your girlfriend, her mother, and her sister all at once isn't going to happen IRL. Neither is it likely for you to perv the shit out of your family and after a few months of intense bombardment of perverse activity, they give in and decide to fuck you.

Both games are good. For me Melody was overall the better VN, because (in my opinion) Melody (the character) was the more interesting or more independent and fleshed out main love interest, while D was in my opinion too shy and dependent on the MC. Also the music theme was quite interesting, too. On the other hand in DMD was Elena where I had some laughs by her actions and dialogues ^^

What I liked about Melody was the focus on one girl, but also the chance to romance the redhead girl, her aunt, and your friend's sister. The strong point of that game really was the setting, I can gladly say I learned a thing or two about music. Because of the unique setting and how well Melody's character was written, the game felt different then others.
Now the story has been simplified, I wonder how this game will feel different than others. But I think MrDots is a competent developer who knows what he does. The renders look great, good luck and I hope this game will surpass the quality of Melody.

Preferences vary. Some people fast forward, fap and go on with life. Others dim the lights, put music on, close the blinds, light the candles and enjoy reading the entire story.If people want a boring romance-story, watch a fucking movie! Netflix has 100+ Movies like Melody but I haven't seen one like DMD

When I talk about a more realistic story I didnt mean that everything must be 100% real, a game can be about magicians and be realistic while another game can be about high school and not be realistic.
I guess it all depends on how sensitive you are to suspension of disbelief.
So yeah, the little goblin who fucks his entire family with his baseball bat dick alike, It's just a bit far away from the Middle Earth for my tastes.

I agree with you on body part realism. The giant cock, the giant tits, unhealthily skinny midsections - those are all regrettably part of what many people assume are 'requirements' for most porn and porn games. I know plenty of MILFs in real life who are still as skinny as they were in high school, and have tiny/average tits despite being 40. However, they are a 'straight' skinny, not the weird hourglass figure.
But as far as who the protagonist is sexually pursuing - I'm fine with unrealistic. All his teachers are hot? Fine. All his friends moms are hot? Fine. Girlfriend's family is all hot, and dads and brothers go fuck off for most of the game, fine.
But when the games narrow you down to 2-3 same age classmates, it gets a little too constraining, almost hyper-realistic. Games don't have to be all Summertime Saga level of catering to everyone, or 'Fat Slobbering MILFs with G tits' level of super specific kink targets, but its nice to have a healthy variety of all that, one that hopefully would skew towards a variety of less real life scenarios.
And yeah, its garbage that some of these goblins end up with ANYONE, let alone their families, but thats a major draw of games, escapism.
