For what I recommend,
Download the character you want, and then unpack that character's folder into the 'chars' folder. Then go into data>MMMD> and open vselect. Right click on an empty square and click insert. Then go to that character's folder and select their .def file. Then click save from the top left, and you should be all set.
thanks for your answer dude, I got it now.

Hey, sorry if if this is the wrong place to ask about this. A friend shared this with me , , its Blake and Weiss as victim characters. They were made by Mr.Vodka. Does anyone have them?

Ok, so found something really weird about Kuromaru girl, so much so, that I wonder what the creator of that character thought.

I mentioned some time ago, that Kuromaru Girl has a special ending animation for Iari. That animation ONLY triggers if Iari is defeated by cumming inside of her and getting the "fertilize" animation.

is here i go, download the char you like, extract them into the char folder, then run Vselect in the MMMD, make sure to copy them down exactly as their char folder is written. theres instructions on the site if you get confused

why not make two versions one where the arcade is set for playing as aggressors and the other for playing as Victims
That way you can just pick what you want from the get go and not have to mess with anything

Since I've included two versions of the select.def file pre-edited already, you're already halfway there. You can copy and paste the whole game folder and have each one with a different version.

> "Just edit the data files"
Picking the sex of the player and their opponent really should be done via the gui, not via editing the game data files.
Not to mention anyone other than the dev is not familiar with the structure of the data files. So at the very least it is a bunch of research to figure out how to change it.
and the end result is a modded game that hardcodes yous selection. it just makes no sense.

The process is literally described in the OP, if you made the effort to read.

Can't believe people are struggling with simply removing a semicolon from a line of text and adding it to the next line... be careful not to break your wrists turning the doorknob...

I have adding most characters into Mugen down, but a few are alluding me. It seems that some based off of the KFM model (Kung Fu Man) characters seem to revert to KFM after entering a battle. An example would be Tsuyu Asui. I tried searching around for a guide on how to fix this, but could not find one. None of the character folders that came with the .zip for them seems to explain, at least not in English.

Issue with those KFM characters is that they lack sprites, hence why they used KFM as a base. I think you would need to find/make the sprites and incorporate them into the game before you can actually fix that

Oh. I see. I find it strange that the website I got it from would have any characters available for download that are quite unfinished. At least it explains my confusion.
