This looks nice, but I can't play this at all, it freezes and lags all the time when the choices dialog appears... and it's not that my laptop can not handle it, the memory and processor consume it's not maxed up or something like that, but the game doesn't progress... =\

This is an interesting game. I like that we can create whatever is happening, and the AI responds accordingly. The downside is that we never finish the actions. For example, I wrote essays [ XD ] describing what we are doing, and everything is working, but then it gets cut to something completely outside of what is happening. That is sad, but other than that good job.

oookay, cleaned appdata, reinstalled the game

Fiona shows player his Room:

*Fiona opens the door to reveal a spacious room with a queen-sized bed against one wall, a desk and chair near the window, and a closet. The walls are painted a soft gray, and there's a carpeted floor. A small dresser sits in the corner, overflowing with clothes.* "Make yourself at home," Fiona says as she sets a backpack on the desk. The room has a cozy, lived-in feel, with a few posters on the walls and a couple of pillows scattered on the bed. It's obvious that another person, probably a girl, shares the room.abella's sweater lies draped over the back of the desk chair, and there's a hairbrush on the bedside table next to a pair of glasses.

Roland
pointing at the Girls stuff in the Room :" Ahm, theres a Girl already living in here?"
Fiona
*laughs* Yeah, there's the three of us. Joe, Dina, and me. We're like family, pretty much share everything. You won't mind, will you?*tosses your hair over your shoulder*
Roland
"Not at all, not at all. Sounds really intresting"
Fiona
..
ummm ^^

But two things bothered me about both variants. You are in the middle of a conversation and receive the answer to a question or ask a question yourself. You see the answer to your question for a fraction of a second, then the entire scenario changes without any warnings. This is very frustrating. It looks like these are fixed turning points within the game, but they totally destroy the flow of the game. I have changed all possible settings, but the result is always the same. I was really excited about the game at the beginning, but now I'm a bit disillusioned. Let's wait and see how it continues. Good luck anyway!
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing you were playing in storymode and haven't reached the poetry test yet?

If so, I'd recommend you keep going. There's a reason for all those "glitches". I don't want to give any spoilers but it's actually pretty brilliant once the pieces of the puzzle start coming together.

Models? Where? I see AI generated 2D images, I see no 3D models anywhere.

I played the game online with a gemini free key and a local with a kobold ccp installation. I had much more fun with kobold, but it depends heavily on the model you are using. The Moistral-11B-v3-f16 is my favorit at the moment, but it is big (20GB).

You're the only one I've seen an example of a model that's been used. I tried this model Moistral-11B-v3-f16 and it works very slowly, 2-3 words per minute. Does it need a very powerful computer or what? Everything else I tried with this kobold didn't work at all. What models are used for this, how to use them, nothing is clear.

That particular model will need a pretty beefy graphics card to run- I'm using it with a 3080 with 10gb vram and works fine. You could try using one of the smaller versions of Moistral-11B-v3, the smaller the data model the less resources it needs. If that isn't the issue then try lowering the context size in your kobold options. Higher context size and larger data models directly relate to response speed.

Of course this will give the bot less data to work with and make it more likely to repeat itself and forget things faster. That's the tradeoff; better ai needs better hardware.

You need a lot of VRAM, as the model is 20GB in size.
I only used it because the size doesn't matter to me. I use an RTX 3090 with 24GB RAM. However, the f16 version is labeled on hugginface as overkill. Version Q8_0 should be sufficient (half size). I have tested various other smaller models under 10GB, but I didn't like them.
If you have less than 10 GB VRAM, it will be difficult, because then your system's RAM will also be required and it will be get quite slow. If you have enough it will work, if not the model is not usefully usable unless you are a masochist ;).

Yes, you're right. I haven't lasted that long so far because I was a bit frustrated by the frequent interruptions. I don't have that much time at the moment either. But thanks for the tip. It has motivated me to try again(y).

Can you imagine if the situations we create become the images we see? That would be a perfect world.
This game has a lot of replayability so I will bookmark it.
Thank you for the game.

I tried some models and the results are bad, 90% of what they produce is some nonsense that has nothing to do with the game.

Can we get some kind of a guide? Why does everything take so long to load to the next set of text or progression? Is what we type from a narrative perspective or the character we are playing? It seems like both work but it's all very clunky
