I never had that problem but i do need to know, do i need the ggupp for kobold directly in my computers storage or could it be on my sdcard to work because mine isn't working and it's in my sdcard
in my case Win11 Home, 23H2, i7-13700k and ARC770 (and some RAM somewhere
) I dont think it is connected to the HW/GPU, but it may be, who knows.I'm using windows 10 Pro 19045.5247 and L3.1-Dark-Planet-SpinFire-Uncensored-88-D_AU-Q8.gguf 8GB.

Quick Update: I'm getting stuck on the minigame in version 3.51 also. I think the problem is not the game, but may the Model I'm using now. Version 3.51 worked fine with the model i used before. I will do some tests.

On Windows 11, I can't play without internet connection, even when Koboldcpp is selected.
I know that Koboldcpp is running and working, because when there is internet, I can see it's feedback on the command prompt.
My computer stays offline half the time. It would be great if the game could work without an internet connection, at least for me. I am using version 0.3.6.7. Thank you in advance.

I would love to play this game, but I honestly need a tutorial. A detailed, non-technical one. All of the settings are pretty much gibberish to me. I am willing to vpn and play online, but what settings do I use. What do all of the choices under recommended models button mean. Like, all of them. Or do I need to care? If I get a key for a model, I must use my email, yes? Then I get an unlock key or something? Put where? And so on. I could ask questions all day. So maybe a clear language manual? Anyway, I would love to try this. Hoping to figure it out, but not over weeks of research. Regardless, good luck dev.

for languages other than english: the problem is that in the system context, the character is set to english. I will add the option for other languages a little later; I'm working on it

try the windows version with the local model (multiic-win-local-0380). for linux, u will need to download the model separately—the link is provided in the game

can somone provide a full save. or at least enough of a save to unlock the last girl ? i dont care much for the story and i just want to have all charachters for the sandbox unlocked
What is the difference between a local model and putting an API? I don't really understand what all that is about.
The last version comes with koboldcpp and with a Large Language Model (LLM) in the GGUF file format.
I think the API mode is similar in that you would use it with koboldcpp, but the game would interact with koboldcpp by a custom net address and custom port that we (users) inform manually.
I like the option of using a non-built-in koboldcpp since I can fine tune it in command line, in a way that it starts with the best setup to run fastest on my specific hardware configuration.
The built-in koboldcpp option is only good for those with high-end hardware using CUDA (ex: someone with a RTX 3090 or a RTX 4090) and those who don't care to use better models than the one which comes with the game. Better models normally require better hardware, especially more VRAM. But some people prefer better responses than fast ones. So, by allowing the API (external koboldcpp), users can configure bigger contexts, using bigger LLMs at the expense of faster responses.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I think my response is more or less correct.

Does anyone know what do you have to do to get longer replies - sometimes I play the sandbox not the game and the replies are just a few sentences, sometimes it is a longer reply, which is much better. I'm using Gemini API as I can't get my head around Kobold at present.
