I did notice that though the other user who posted it didn't post any links while i did. Included the changelog and image as i report my posts that have updated links once its posted so it makes it easier that my post already has the info needed to update the op rather then whichever mod/uploader picks it up having to search the thread.

Not just sandbox. Bad, needlessly grindy sandbox which completely derails an otherwise interesting game. I haven't played this update, but it would be different if the sandbox element actually went some where - which it didn't. You had a couple of brief scenes, but it went from a pure VN with only the illusion of choice to a straight up grindfest with no payoff. HOPEFULLY that has changed and we see the story move forward, but I'm doubting it with as much grind was implemented already.

Which game do you think you got fucked over on? Mech Academy? Criminal Attraction? While CA was a little short I think it was just fine, and Mech Academy rocked!I'm sure it has nothing to do with him fucking over his fans in his last game lol.

Needlessly grindy for you, perhaps. Others don't have a problem with it. Your opinion is yours, but it's not a universal truth.

the SandBox Menu is a complete pace breaker it goes from a fairly kenetic novel prologue to an everything plus the kitchen sink sandbox menu with very little set up just "prologues over go grind for tiny bits of content until the next big event" the game would lose nothing if the grind was taken out and replaced with simple "meet certain character here at certain time and repeat" and also a decent quest/event tracker the last time I played the sandbox opened up with basically zero player direction other than increase stats, a mod to make this game completely kenetic novel style would also make it much better.

That's actually pretty common on sandbox games, as the prologue is to set everything up give context to the sandbox, introduce mechanics, etc.. Most sandbox games start with VN prologues or intros, or weave sandbox sessions between VN chapters.

most games normally have the prologues either lead into a cut down sandbox to get the core loop established before opening everything else up or have quest logs/event trackers worth a damn this game has neither (or did not last time I played earlier this year)

Yeah, other than the prologue it seems to be entirely sandbox. There is a lot to help you through the plot threads and actions, but they're not centrally located (there's your phone, but there's also your laptop, and they have different things). The interfaces are a bit kludgy, but hey: "superhero manwhore!"
