Bug report – Rita quest soft-lock (v16.10260extra)
Game version: 16.10260extra
Issue:
The quest where Rita asks the MC to hack the laptop is permanently stuck.
After receiving the memory card from Rita, the laptop always shows the message:
"I need to stick the memory card into the camera to read it."
What I tried:
- I already have the camera, memory card, and cable
- Used / checked the camera in inventory
- Tried different times (morning, day, night)
- Slept multiple days
- Returned to school and talked to Rita again
- Tried interacting in different locations
Result:
The message never changes and the hacking option never appears.
This creates a soft-lock and prevents further progression.
The nurse quest also never triggers, likely because it depends on Rita’s progression.
Conclusion:
This seems to be a broken or missing trigger/flag in this version.
The game is marked as "complete", but this quest cannot be completed in v16.10260extra.
Save-breaking bug.
I'm stuck in making a video with Lida in the evening after being in Ivan office. It won't trigger the shower scene, instead I have a message: "Nobody's here.......", and no other tasks. Anyone has a save on that part? Also I never met Olya after the dinner with the family, does she appear only later in the game?

So I assume when you say the camera, you do mean not the cheapest camera. Have you tried going into your inventory and...inserting the memory card into the camera? You click and drag the memory card onto the camera and then you can connect the cable to the laptop.

No tasks are showing (did the ones that were in there ), also the upper tip button (the '?' ) says ""you are tired get some good night's sleep.""
Where am I in story :-
> with dean photoshoot done
> with the landlady woman , she asks to hep find IVAN cheating , also DONE (got video)
> with IVAN, he took the flash drive and said he will take care of the info then give it to me , also wanted more dirt , DONE
> with the one roommate , the sexy photoshoot done (one with the bunny suit)
> with other roommate , No freaking idea about her (done the sec chat btw).
What have i done:-
> talk to all characters at all time.
> slept so many times think a month has passed. (the tip still says says get a good night's sleep)

Started game all over. Now. stuck on making another video o lida, ivan said lawyer needs more. Go to bedroom, nothing happens???? Note that some others having the same problem. Hopefully, someone has a fix. Thanks
Alright... So apparently, a crap load of people managed to break the game by having money and buying the cable before they were supposed to be able to, thus not setting up their own webcam channel, which causes you to essentially be locked out from completing certain content with Olya and Anya and eventually dead-ending.
So I've attempted to create a "Fix" which will, in theory, allow you to trigger a new conversation with Lia, the girl at the photo store, to start the webcam channel quest even if you have already bought the cable... Hopefully, this will work for people and let them finish the game. (This should work with the base game as well as the taboo mod for any version number. It might however break the walkthrough mod in the photo store...but I would hope the walkthrough mod would not be leading people into this dead-end situation or else the mod needs an overhaul to warn people not to buy the cable too soon?)

(This is for people who have bought the cable and NOT been able to open their own webcam channel on the PC in their room.)
(If you are stuck on "You are tired, it's time to rest. Try to get good night's sleep " then this is for you to try.)
- To install, you must extract the zip file, KEEPING the folder paths intact inside of your "game" subfolder or else it will not work and instead give you errors about duplicate labels!
So for example lia_talk.rpy should go here:
"MCR2-16.11130extra-pc\game\_content\city2\photo_store\"

Does anyone know how to unlock the gallery for android? I cannot get three scenes here, that is the issue. I already got to the ending, I don't know how to get the other 3.
