What is said is not this line of text at all, it's a repeat of a previous line about technique, she then goes on to repeat asking if that worries mc, repeats the line about technique again, then soon after she repeats a line about Takagi's good timing from earlier, finally says its lovely. The translation is off from what's said by far and the voiced lines are repeating, like the rest of the scene is pieced together with used voiced lines, from the image's point in the VN. Mariko sounds very odd as she repeats lines over and over. This vastly changes Mariko's character as there is no voiced line for her saying she loves MC in this scene or any of this. Nothing about desires or that MC loves her.

...This bothered me so I got a copy of the Japanese verison. This scene from that line on is tacked on by the translator. I would say it's a complete rework of the scene. Her voiced lines only say Takagi and chief are physically better in bed and MC sucks at sex but she's fine with that cause she can freely have sex with Takagi, says that it's lovely. That line is not in the original work at all, in any form.

Again another rewrite that changes Mariko's character.

The other ending they added some flavor text, it's really more straight the point. 'Pray that our marriage will continue as it should. I love you Yasushi(MC).' then end. Not bad enough to change much, but it's not as sweet.

I'd say Mariko is not as kind to MC as the translation wrote her to be, she takes him on the out of control lending/affair ride while holding his head under giving him little chance to breath. However, in the end, if MC wishes to stop, just like in the beginning, she will stop the ride. She isn't as reluctant to end everything has the translator wrote her to be.

I didn't go through the translation vs the Japanese line by line and I'm not an expert. So I don't know exactly how bad the rewrite is, but theses examples show changes in character and tone of the story. Though if a character is repeating itself over and over, not saying anything close to what's written, I'll notice.

Excuse me, is this one using the same engine as the prequel?
If you’re asking if this uses the same engine as the first one, then the answer is no.
This one uses KiriKiri while the first one uses the abominable Majiro Engine. Caused Capu absolute hell with Marina 2 and is mostly the reason that translation is more scuffed than Marina 1 or 3.

I don’t really know what Atelier Sakura was smoking when they randomly used Majiro instead of KiriKiri.

Regardless, only Managamer has the tools to more easily translate Majiro games.

Thanks. I was hoping this one use kirikiri instead of majiro cause I can't run majiro on android. Now i know i can run this one.

Does anyone knows what is Mariko's age on this game and her age from the prequel?

I never understand why Atelier Sakura wants visual novels when decisions are in your hands. (That is The worst case scenario NTR and It could be worse fate)

So this is more of a re-write than a proper translation? That's... extremely disappointing...

It did feel like something was off tbh. Like what we see in this VN didn't quite match the impressions left by the prequel... but to be fair, neither are particularly well written for a lot of reasons, even by hentai standards.

Well. Not like it matters that much anyway... Honestly, this VN still fails to explain why Mariko didn't just leave her husband in the prequel. I mean, it's not like the situation with typical NTR bastards, where their only redeeming feature is that they have an improbably huge dick and that they're sex gods in general. The Chief guy actually seemed to love and cherish her and by the looks of things he'd have been a great husband for her that offered her a great sex life and just about everything else. Unlike her husband at the time who was a loser in way too many ways.

The only explanation I can think off, tbh, is that she gets off on cheating just as much as her husband gets off on being cheated on. Basically, she can't leave him. He's the one in who knows how many man that will let her cheat and stick with her. Anyone else would just dump her, and sex for her probably isn't as amazing without that part. I got that kind of vibe off of her in the prequel, and if the re-write wasn't too heavy, there were certainly moments that seemed to emphasize that idea as well in this one too.

Basically, Mariko is just as fucked up as her husband, and they kind of have to stick together... and the only ones that need to be pitied are the guys that are basically used to satisfy both of their urges.

It'd also explain why the affair with the Chief ended. The prequel seemed to imply pretty heavily that neither Mariko nor her husband wanted it to end... but it did. Odds are it was because the guy got tired of being a mixture of Mariko's personal meat dildo and her husband's personal porn maker.

If you really think about it... it's a position that's kind of humiliating for the guy that's doing the fucking, no matter how much better they are at sex...
