I personally hate the lewd sfx. (in these games generally, can't say here, never even turned on sound in the first place) They're invariably ripped straight from Japanese porn. So you have women sounding like they're being stabbed to death and the men all sound like fucking wet-vacs. NEITHER is hot.
You know, that's a really good point, too. Like, in one game (with VERY good sound/music otherwise) set in the USA, the lewd SFX included the women screaming "Ikuuuuuuu!" ("cumming" in Japanese)... Despite them being American (and two literally being Southern blondes)... Which took me out of the game enough that I turned off the sound whenever a lewd scene came up for the rest of the game.
When it comes to sex in games I have been reading Japanese visual novels for a long time now and have long got use to it, I struggle to enjoy games without any sound and always welcome a sex sound effect in Ren'Py and type games.
I use sfx (mostly) without words, provided by western girls. I don't like the Japanese voices for sex scenes for several reasons. First, I can't understand Japanese, so if a word slips, like Tiur says, I wouldn't notice it.
I always play on mute so sounds of any kind go unnoticed.
It should be an error. I'll add it once again. Precisely a part of the next update delves with it.
