Just what did Subscribestar do to get Visa/MC off their neck?
Remember when answering, the things that aren't allowed on Patreon i.e. incest/bestiality etc. are also not allowed on Subscribestar either...

Very confusing. Read most of the last couple pages of comments but I could still use a little clarity. The Patreon version is Obsession 8a and the Sunscribestar version is MEF 7. I assume they are the essentially the same story but the Patreon version has censored content - correct? Also, Patreon version is 8a meaning it has more content overall compared to Sub MEF 7... or are the numbers not relevant and both has the same amount of content?

It can be, but I think it’s less to infer it for filling the blanks and more like setting up a dramatic reveal. I do the same in my writing and an Incest game I work on secretly.
If you lead the audience to the answer you know they want, but don’t confirm it. It feels good everytime you give them more evidence to prove them right.
For example in this game, the first piece of evidence came out around the time they introduced the sister with Laura the main LI talking about how they want to make up about what happened in the past. Then it’s talked about how she used to have a young lover. Then in update 7 they have Laura’s sister talk about how she doesn’t want her daughter to be stupid and pick a handsome guy that’ll leave her behind.
Also, MC has talked about how he uses to be very active in the past and then he slowed down after he broke up with a girl a long time ago. I’m not saying it’s obvious but come on… lastly, during the flashback scene, there is a lot of talk about how the prostitute MC steals from the husbands father looked like his wife. Side note, I think MC impregnates her :O
as IAmAB is abandoning this gallery mod can any other modder pick this up as there isn't a gallery in the game and after a playthrough its better to have gallery for fav scenes

Guess ill just wait for SS version, this one has different name as well, i tried to move saves but it seems you still get loads of errors cause character name changes.
Officially, but they don't enforce it like at all. I've never heard of anyone banned there, ever, other than the page of a AVN pirate site that was pirating other SS devs and a couple of devs that were arrested due to their AVN (technically not banned, account was simply closed due to LE request, and yes even when content being sold is outright illegal in some places they will still allow it). While all of Patreon is searchable you can't do that with the adult section of SS. You will have to find the dev or their AVN on some other AVN site or on Discord. If you are not aware of an dev's existance beforehand you will not find them on SS just by typing their name in the search box or random browsing, it's publicly hidden/not indexed by Google. And neither will Visa/MC's bloodhounds/snitches. Aside from that SS was aware of Patreon's woes back when they first started. In fact they were started in the first place due to that first incest ban wave back in 2017, so they've probably taken less public steps like putting a few layers of shell companies between them and their payment processors when their company was first set up, and you can bet the merchant accounts of those shells don't mark transactions as "incest AVN subscription fee" or even just the name of the dev. In fact I'd bet money it's something like that, as despite all the bad press SS gets due to the extreme stuff you can find there if you found a link to their page from elsewhere (hate speech, white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, and other shit far worse than just incest or naked cartoon kids in some loli AVN or comic strip) unlike Patreon no one as far as payment processors are threatening to cut them off.

Sure I did, in summary simply not indexing their adult section and shell companies for their merchant accounts.
I say dl neither until 0.9. The castrated version adds little anyway from what I gather and the SS version is basically the same as it was from Dec last year, at least the public SS that doesn't cost $10.

hate to say it but patreon needs a damn incest patch for it to work properly and their is no place on that version to input the incest code to activate it which is why i say that again this is for the patreon version

The SS version has all the same new scenes as the Patreon one, except it doesn't have the "non-cest" changes that Oppression does.
Both have 0.8a, but only SS is MEF/incest.

If you haven't played yet, use that one.
If you have, then you'll have to wait if you don't want to play the sanitised Patreon version, or use the (currently Work In Progress) incest patch/mod from Motseer here.

Apparently this is a patch from Subscribestar that should turn Oppression into MEF, aka it's an incest patch.
