No, not indirectly, and "but still" nothing.

What I wrote, what I took a screenshot of, was nothing to do with it getting the Abandoned tag here.
He said that six months since the last update was a sign of the Dev maybe dropping the game, and that the "signs are there", to which I showed that the "signs" are in fact the opposite.

Furthermore, he then gave verfiably false information about previous updates, and someone else called him out on it.

That said, I had been hopeful that updates (of both this and Uncontrollable Lust) would be quicker since the original dev handed the reins over to someone else. But I guess not.

With 15 updates since 2020 that makes its average of every 3.3 months between updates if you divide it up but your saying 3 or 4 updates were a year or so apart and that just does not adds up to me.

Its been a couple of years since I played this and I remember the updates were coming regularly and now there getting further apart or so it seems to me.

Taking 6 months or more is a precursor to maybe abandoning like so many that's been abandoned in the last 5 or so years.

Hey I could be wrong here but its still a precursor.

I never said anything of the sort.

There hadn't been an update prior to 8a for almost a full year, and between 7 and 8a Patreon got themselves involved again, leading to two versions of the same game.
1 - Oppression, on Patreon with zero incest involved at all.
2 - My Employee's Family on Subscribestar that includes the "normal" incest that it currently has.

There was even a lot of confusion when 8a released over both the apparent change of name and loss of incest in the story, because most people were unaware of the changes and division between a Patreon version and Subscribestar version, despite it being both public knowledge and readily available information in this thread before people were questioning the apparent change(s).

If there were no news updates on either Patreon/SS then you'd have a point.
However, your entire argument of "precursor to maybe" is solely based on the lack of release of 8b in the past six months (your words), and more than enough other projects go a few and even several months without a new version being released but still get plenty of news and information about progress as well as previews/teasers etc before the newest version is released.

There's been 11 updates since the initial release that had new renders/story (not counting bugfix versions or patreon version which is the same except for the script being slightly changed to remove any hints of incest). These are when the updates were posted to F95, not when they were released on patreon (but they seemed to all be within a month of the patreon releases, so, close enough).

Wow its been over 4 years since I last played this, I knew I remembered it was coming out regularly.
When I quit playing all none completed games was about 2021/22 because of to many being abandoned, now I only support and play completed games and VN's.
If this game gets finished then I will throw a few dollars to the dev and download the game again.

Because up to the last update it was the same Dev making both games.

It was maybe a year back but on one of these pages in this thread...supporters for this game prefer the release schedule to be every 1-2 years. I and a few others complained how long it was between updates and supporters came out to basically say they give this guy money because of how long it takes him to release updates. Never seen people not only defend but literally support long release schedules, but here we are. :HideThePain:

Don't forget the new characters that were introduced in the new update (Emily / Naomi / Robin).
A female antagonist (probably - if you don't tame her) and the choice of a trans/trap character.
