No, I'm afraid NTR and MTL have become a prepackaged deal.
If you see MTL or NTR, expect both to be there. This phenomenon is known as MTR.

Do yourselves a favor and:
1 - Get the original game.
2 - Look for "visual novel ocr" and/or "Textractor" and learn how to use them. It's easy.
3 - Enjoy a way way WAY better translation than this. Unless you enjoy reading high styles of mtl-poetry that's it, then this edit is a must.

All three of these are common things you see coming out of DeepL, pic 1 in particular. That's pretty much one of the stock "DeepL got tripped up and doesn't know what to do with what you fed it" outputs

If you complain about MTL then just learn Japanese. Or at least how to use translation programs like Textractor, VNR, Translation Aggregator, etc. You can get better MTL with those programs, except you also can see the original text and translate harder sentences word by word with a dictionary. You can also improve your knowledge of Japanese doing this. Japanese isn't as hard as people think, btw. You can get decent at it in 1-2 years if your goal is to read porn games and manga, lol. The hardest part is these kanji bastards, but with programs, you don't even need to know kanji, only what words mean.

If you are so desperate to play machine translated games just use one of the 10000 translation tools that are better than this broken (pun intended) mess.
For example you can hook a game to textractor and then use Sugoi translator offline model to translate everything without even relying on internet connection, and still get better translations that DeepL.

If the text was decent, it would be an amazing game, and I generally don't fuss about MTL, but this is impossible to enjoy.

It's not really the right place to talk about other games here - and I don't know which game you're interested in - but I'll reply shortly about On Edge: I'm doing a huge overhaul starting with the card game (that part is almost done now), and I will also have some big news soon which some will enjoy, some will hate, but it is what it is. No, the game isn't and won't be abandoned - that's not the news xD

I doubt that this is even what the original text wants to say. When DeepL can't understand what it is to translate, it spits random phrases like that, or things like "I'm sure you can make something out of it.", "I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't understand it." or similar stuff.Good old DeepL and it's repeating text. If you're going to uses DeepL for god sake please go in and delete the fucking duplicates. Nobody wants to read the same dialog twice every screen.
