I concur with the enthusiasm and enjoyment expressed by others, a hell of an entry by the author! It's exciting to know that they have the script ready and have put in so much preparation before publishing. Some of my favourite moments are those few extra renders of Vivian fixing her dress after the garden scene or touching up her lipstick, as well as stealing extra glances here and there. These details beautifully set the mood and greatly enhance immersion. I wish more developers would incorporate similar details and overall use more build-up in their games.
That being said, as with any product, you could nitpick a few things. For me, it was the eyes. I found them looking too bleak/grey in certain scenes. And most importantly the sclera was too red. Like some gradient was moved too much instead of a few small arteries. Check the examples below compared to a random selfie I found on the internet:
And I think I found one mistake in the text, don't know if it was mentioned before already.
As a final suggestion, I'd like to note that sometimes devs have great visuals/models but, I guess, leave stock model nails. IRL I pay attention to people's hands/nails and this transfers to games, so I was happy to see that Vivian was wearing a nice polish on hers. But in a few preview screens, I noticed that bad French that you often see, like the one below. If she could keep her nails polished, I'd greatly appreciate it. I think it looks much better.
That's all that came to mind after the first playthrough. Again, great game, can't wait to see what comes next!
