In the office after the bathroom scene when the boss walks up to the desk you can see the hatred Hutch's expression, so I dont think he will be involved in their activities, in the previews he has the same look when they are holding hands after what appears to be another bedroom scene at the party.

Hutch looks somehow annoyed or disgusted in these pictures.
He will not be the typical cuckold for sure.
Just a betrayed guy who will let the infidelity happen until his wife quits the affair on her own.
He gave up a fight he could not win. (He don't even tried it, weak? yes probably, but time will tell)

Edit: I replayed the first scene at the bosses house.
I would have knocked at the bedroom door and told them to fuck quieter, because I need some beauty sleep.

Ok ... here is one of the preview pics. This is with the other 2 either getting in the car or out. Now.... is this coming back into the house ? Or, Leaving the house. As you see Hutch is in the distance... again he is not going to do anything. However this is now AFTER the open marriage conversation. So, Are they coming back and walking past him to the bedroom !

I don't think either of then will allow sex with others in their own bed. Surely their bedroom is still sacred and off limits. Even Vivian with her whorish ways would not want it. But hey what do any of us know what SC Stories is planning.

To me it looks like they are leaving for a date, not coming back.

by the way, I also think badly about men who cheat. But here I initially do not believe in their couple and in Vivian's love for Hutch. in their family (based on what we were shown) Hutch earns money, but Vivian is the head of the family here. And that in 22 years you (Vivian) have never said that you are not satisfied with sex, do you miss something? I do not believe. Because Hutch will do whatever she tells him, she raised him that way. Okay, maybe you saw something in the boss that you were missing, but if you believe the tattoo and that it might indicate a stormy youth, then I can't assume that she spent this stormy youth on people like Hutch (in the state in which we see him). And in that case, shouldn't it have made you immune to people like Christian? Didn't you choose Hutch (I guess tired of people like Christian)? And that in 22 years you have never met men like Christian anywhere? That's why I can't believe in her tears, in her regrets. This story is full of conventions.

To be honest, if it would be true, it leaves not many solutions :

- has been a hooker or a pornstar
- Sawyer's not Hutch's son.
-has been secretly unfaithful for years (least likely)

Other than that, it doesnt seem the logic solution would have been " i have to comply or else..."

I disagree, partly because I just don't see any of these as viable solutions, especially not with the potential scope of this particular story. Hooker or pornstar is just too "out there" and what we see of Vivian during sex suggests it wouldn't be this. I think if there is anything in the "I learnt your secret" category it is just as likely to be financial as sexual (possibly more likely, in fact). It's something Christian would surely be able to find out more easily, as it's not just reliant on other people knowing the secret, and it would explain a bit more the financial trigger to Vivian's actions.

At one point, was it Hutch who said he didn't know where all the money went? Maybe Vivian has a hidden gambling problem or something. All we do know is that they are both pretty desperate for Hutch to keep his job because they can't really afford to have their joint income cut.

In general though, I think it's most likely to be a literal lust and corruption thing, where she does it solely to stop Christian from firing Hutch, but only made up her mind/went along with it because she was falling under Christian's spell.

I'm confused about the "Sawyer's not Hutch's son" theory. What is that based on?

Just people trying to figure out what could be a big enough secret to cause Vivian to roll over so quickly and easily. There's no basis to it at all though.

I never thought about this (it's a stretch i warn you, it may be just just her meekly justifying herself) but is it possible Christian drugged her ? Before the patio scene, she's having very erratic behaviour.

As I was scrolling through this morning and came to the post quote above yours, with the screenshot attached, I thought "could she be drugged?" I'm not sure about the likelihood of it, but I agree with you that despite being a bit of a stretch, it's a possibility. Maybe even after making the suggestion of sex, she is obviously resisting, but not flat out slapping him and walking off, so he sees there's a chance. He could offer a small bit of something to get her past that last inhibition stopping her from crossing the line.

That picture tells it all, she is heart broken and feels the guilt already, because she assumes what will transpire soon and that she will particpate.

I think this is where she realises Hutch isn't going to be up to the job, and she knows she's going to have to take matters into her own hands. She knew before they left their home that Christian was almost certainly going to be touchy-feely at the minimum - she practically said as much to Hutch, telling him not to react to anything (bet she didn't mean sex when she said that though!).

From positioning, I would say the first is someone opening the door for her to get out of the car, and it looks like she's looking at Hutch a bit guiltily - possibly returning home after the first evening out? The middle one looks like she's about to get into the car, and she's looking back at Hutch because she knows it's the lst they'll see of each other for the evening, and they both know without talking about it what will be happening while she's out. The last one could be when she's getting ready or when she's returned home. I don't think Christian would be there as well for this one, I wouldn't be surprised if he never sets foot in their home during the entire game, it's like their safe haven from him!

I ran through part of the game again this morning to get a screenshot of one piece of dialogue, but ended up getting loads of screenshots. I just think the whole buildup to the dinner is brilliantly done.

Getting in the car, you can see Vivian is already apprehensive, but is it for the potential outcome on Hutch's job, or the potential outcome on her vagina?

Vivian asks "Are you worried...?" and Hutch's face says "I am now" - I wonder if he'd even thought about the possibility before Vivian mentioned it. That face says (to me) "shit, I didn't even consider that..."

Then you have this exchange, where she's trying to convince herself (unsuccessfully) that Christian won't do anything in front of Hutch (I wonder if she was thinking "But he might take me out of Hutch's sight and then do something...") It's a full process in a few images, and one of the many great scenes that says a lot more when you look at it closely.

Frustration is starting to kick in, but is it just aimed at Hutch being a bit limp about his situation, or is it because of the realisation that she's going to have to be the one to get it resolved for him? The strain is clear, either way.

And a final reminder to Hutch as she gives one last attempt to kid herself - again, the facial expressions say as much (or more) than the words here:

By the end of this, she's pretty much talked herself into accepting whatever is going to happen. A lot of this car talk was for her benefit rather than Hutch's, I think.

Then, when it actually starts, a final reminder to Hutch, and you'll note that she's the one doing more of the handholding here.


I was initially looking for a bit of dialogue that I misremembered, but it was along the lines of "ignore it if Christian touches me in front of you" - and I wondered if the implication was "Hutch, if he fucks me tonight, just ignore it, it's only to test you and see how you work with distraction..." My memory of the line was incorrect, as the screenshots show, but the exchange still sets the scene well.

Still playing the game. But, I had an idea:

When she comes with clothes the next day (of the first sleep over), it would have been awesome if it were the checked shirt Christian was wearing the night before. Like, that's the clothes he offers her to take with her. And, that would make the sniffing much more logical than the blue sweater she has on (and keeps). It should have been that red shirt that she tucked away, because that likely would have had much more of Christian's scent on it.

I think people are overcomplicating that scene. I think it's as simple as her doing it to save Hutch's job, but then it turned into something deeper because she enjoyed it so much. SC Stories said that scene was the foundation on which this world was built, but I don't think that implies that scene will have a major plot twist if retold from Vivian's POV.
