There is also a discussion whether the story should be linear or with several story paths according to player's choices. I would personally welcome at least several different endings as the game creator wants to go with the one linear story line.
Not really a discussion in regards to this game, as it's just not going to happen (unless there's a big about-turn from the dev, which would be odd and bad for the game for a number of reasons). It's a kinetic novel, there are no choices. Why would choices suddenly appear, even if it's "see the ending where: a) Hutch and Vivian live HEA; b) Vivian leaves Hutch for Christian; c) Hutch murders Christian and spends the rest of his life in jail, starts up a relationship via letter with Addison, and Vivian is left couch surfing after losing everything...
With no early choices to shape the game in different ways, any choices for which one of multiple endings to see would have to come early enough to give enough time to make each ending fit, as they would all have to stem from the same place but still make sense. So you'd get to a point, and regardless of what the current relationship is between Hutch, Vivian, and Christian, you'd then have to make it so both a "happy" and a "bad" ending would fit without requiring too much mental gymnastics.
the beauty of this thread is that everyone imagines something based on their own experiences. But it has gotten out of control.
It's not out of control, I think it's healthy conversation. It's certainly not like some other threads where it's a miracle the mods don't just live there permanently and remove 90% of the posts for off-topic.
