You can't always conveniently say it's both, because the one eats up the plausibility intensity and impact of the other narrative. If she really is so unsatisfied then his manipulation and Hutch's shock are diminished. And if the boss is really so abusive then you can't promote her self discovery-journey at the same time.
Not sure again. You know the charm of someone, his (or her) magnetism is truely unique. I don't think someone "like" Christian could affect her the same way. It HAD to be him.

And the more a woman craves for it herself and is frustrated the less she has to be "manipulated". She just does it because she wants it (as some here see it), she doesn't have to be manipulated. Some here say she is "in love" - that's not manipulation. This contradicting elements are what I mean by over-determined, too many motivations, because they lead to such contradictions. The dev said that he wanted a story that others were not writing so he created one for him and shared with us. I'm a corruption fan but it's hard to find pure corruption story/games so I always had to expand the genre into seduction, cheating, NTR, Hotwife. For the last two genres some things are very very common and becomes pretty boring and frustrating if one dives too much into the story. Most in those stories the cuck is there just as a punching bag without any development. Same for the new in city female stories where every townspeople seems waiting for her to arrive to bang her or the harem stories where every women was ready to open their legs for MMC with no seduction or build up.
The Triangle love story is popular cause of the drama and the sexual/emotional tension.
I engage in this VN cause of the drama and for the fun to share the theories.
The story till now don't exclusively fall into any NTR cliché.
- Like Vivian's story feels like a love triangle but the last two scenes destroys that.
- Christian may feel like the typical bad boy who would be tamed by Vivian or a charming Bull who was helping a couple find their calling but every little hint and the last scene destroys that.
- For Hutch character it is his motivation/action that's the mystery to it not the typical NTR where MMC is oblivious the whole time and viewer kept wondering what the FMC doing is the mystery.
The Garden Party: It's to host their success for getting the contract in Christian's Home
Hutch and Vivian was to attend it together but Hutch was reluctant and also Christian will call her to come alone and she would comply cause she don't pretend now (the scene where she is holding the phone while Hutch is eating). Game wise I think it would be Sunday (11th day from 1st backyard scene). Hutch will come to Christians house only to find them getting ready in the same room. And Christian will rub it saying they were just getting ready nothing happens while holding Vivian hands. He will have to go the Party with Vivian now as he doesn't have any other chance.
Purple night: I think it would be another of her escort day. But eventually wouldn't be able to come back home that night.
Ch3 would be how much Hutch can endure, what's his limit. Vivian will at first forced and manipulated to humiliate him and later will do it without bating an eye. Ch4 will show her actions consequences and her finally realizing that Christian never really loved her. and Hutch finally quits his job.

As for Christian, Business is everything, so he will start to lose clients after Hutch quits. Will try to use Vivian to make him come back but it won't work.
As for Hutch, his main problem was he was too caring. He won't feel a thing for Vivian (the hand holding in car ch2 suggested he still has love/hope for her)
As for Vivian, she will become a full time escort for Christian but business doesn't depend on pussy as told previously so it'll be a stressful job for her. And will come back to a home where there is no love and no one to snuggle to, divorced or not doesn't matter (that is why come back to home also said by Sunshine and is so heavily implied throughout the whole VN till now).
For me A home is a home for you because there are people in it who love you are waiting for you. Otherwise it's just brick and wall that just shelter you from sun and rain.

I agree, it SHOULD be a case for marriage therapy, but that was never gonna happen with the way she treats sex with Hutch IMO. Very interesting write up, I like the way you see CH4 and 5 going. I am a sucker for consequences and people receiving their comeuppance, and the thought of her being left alone in the end, with nobody whom actually loves her, would be sweet and fitting.
