What exactly don't you get? Could probably have said All around, common sense is leaving the building. Also I'm not a native speaker either.
Not that it matters because you never answer the real arguments here.
Dude, when it comes to this ‘NoahSombrero’ character. You do realise you're dealing with one of two possibilities:

Either you're arguing with a far-left, brainwashed, culturally Marxist, third-and fourth-wave feminist troll — someone who dances around real debate because they simply can’t win one — or you're engaging with a performative identity void of substance in the form of a sockpuppet. It’s the same tired playbook: deflect, deflect, deflect. Then project, project, project. Deny, deny, deny. In their world, Vivian is always the victim, men are always the problem, and no actual accountability exists.

Stop wasting your energy on this exchange. It’s a one-way drain. Move on.

If it helps you deal with my ideas, go for it. I wouldn't want you to be faced with the fact that what you accuse is simply not so.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you say here - it's the concrete application where we differ. You say "over time" - and that's exactly my point, that's what I meant when I said there are abusive actions but not an abusive relationship, which needs this time. You bring military drill and cults as examples - the show exactly that: an environment, isolation, no opportunity to leave and force over an extended period of time. Nothing of that here. We are talking about how many hours they spent with each other? Also she is an almost 50 years old teacher, who shows a very tough behavior towards her husband.
Addiction - yes of course that takes your agency away but I'm against the application of this analogy in Vivian's case. She is no addict (and you didn't make this analogy up to now I think). We agree on what you say at the end - at the moment she has agency.
After reading your back and forth with DA, I think I should say about vivian being tough to only her husband. She has many flaws and this is clearly shown in both the chapters by SC Stories. She is harsh in situations where she thinks she has the upper hand like in her marriage and thinks it's the same when it comes to dealing with the boss and clients or with her son's friends. And this is the reason some have mentioned her actions in the 1st chapter about meeting the boss and being blind sided from then on. As DarkArchon said about in his examples, yes the timeframe is accelerated, but the effect is more effective due to the personality flaws where she is submissive to christian's mechanizations.

We can debate all we want but at the end we have been shown the various flaws of vivian so in relation to her flaws as a wife woman and fictional being we as observes and can only try to glimpse at the inevitable destruction of the character or characters involved with her from our discussions.

Funny thing about marriage vows. To have and to hold, forsaking all others. It does sound like a promise of sexual faithfulness, but really you can't promise that you will remain wanting to have sex with this person for the rest of your life. Moral imperatives notwithstanding. It might be that your marriage is successful and you never tire of each other, and if things get a little slow, both of you working together can revive it, if you both really want that.

But if one of you does not feel that way anymore, no amount of morality can force that upon you. At least not in recent decades. Humans are entitled to decent sex if nothing else, at least that much. So Wife, you go girl. But you know, you really need to get your head on straight about it. You can't stand the thought of Husband fucking another woman? You do understand how crazy that is, don't you?
THat is the old saying " you can't have your cake and eat it too "

Good, now admit that people can change, can learn better behaviors, better ways to cope. It does take an unstoppable force to make that happen. I say that force has been applied.

I admit but most of the time people only do that when they hit rock bottom.

Yes, and being sent to be raped by someone she loves to fuck, probably feels emotion towards she is not yet conscious of, that is the unstoppable force. Emotionally, she is at rock bottom. She is trying to become able to cope and rise again. But not there yet. It might take another application of that unstoppable force for her to say, enough fucker, I am out of here. Or she might capitulate and accept what he is doing. At that point she really is broken. Only SC knows.

It seems to me most men have no concept of what it means to a woman to be raped. How hateful, how damaging. To a man, it is simply another opportunity to shoot their load, even if they are not rapists that is often how they view the act. They feel that this is not something men should be punished for or held accountable for. Which is part of why, historically, it has been so difficult for women to get rape convictions in court.

Still don't see it as rape. When your husband, his boss and a salesman go on a trip for a few days to negotiate a contract and when they return you are the one that has to go to a hotel to seal the deal... Well it is kind of obvious what will be expected. You don't have to have a psychology degree for that. Hutch hasn't left her, Christian still wants to have his fun with her and convinced her that she liked to be used. She isn't at rock bottom in my opinion and I can't see that her behaviour will change in the near future.

You mean she should have refused to believe Boss when he told her what to do? She should have anticipated that Boss would tell the rapist that she would be a willing good fuck? No, at that point she trusted the Boss, it would be unthinkable for a woman in a sexual relationship to think that. It is no shame on her for trusting. Have you ever been in a sexual relationship where the woman would think that of you?

No, you need to be suspicious to think that. At that point she did not have reason to be suspicious.

If she can walk away then she isn't raped. It is her own choice.

Do you really think she could have walked away ? Rape is forceable sex. That dude was told by Christian he could and would have a good time... She was not getting out of there without sex. Either submit or get raped. Plus she had the added pressure to get the contract signed... She went there thinking this would be a quick in and out... turns out it was a trap by Christian. Not her choice.

As Boss tells her when trying to shift the blame for his "assholiness" to her. She could always say no, could always walk away, so it is her fault not his. Boss constructs situations where the context makes it essentially impossible for her to say no. And then tells her it is her fault, her doing. How viciously manipulating. Mind fucking to be treated that way by a lover.

Men should not be punished for rape, should not be held accountable. After all, it is really only another chance for a man to shoot his load. No, that is not how it goes for a woman.

If she would have tried to get out of there and then be forced it would definitely be rape but she didn't even try. She could have said that she would look for an escort for him and like I said before it is completely stupid to think it would be a quick in and out. Also she could have realised that it was a trap and went out. It was Christian's money after all not hers.

Have you ever had a relationship with a woman could think that of you? Would not, in any case, be willing to trust you, because of all the beautiful sex you have together if nothing else.

Entirely different situation. No comparison at all. Don't you realize that? Past sexual encounters with him makes this a perfectly acceptable thing for her to do in that situation.

WTF dude you did it again!!!! changing stuff.
Yeh, it is true that in my advanced age, I find it necessary to go back and look at what I said. 20 years ago even, that would have not been necessary. Anyway, please give me a few minutes before you reply.
