I really, reaLLY, REALLY, hope that the path chosen doesn't goes that way and that a great dose of reluctance, moral doubt and emotional anxiety stays on the life of Vivian. And even if the mark of ambiguity between her thoughts and promises towards her husband/family and her acts, increases and makes her progressivly derail, a so quick turn into the dark side would totally break the character and make a part of the magic of the game go away. For me, the psycological thrill around Vivian and her actions its a watermark of sensuality in the game... But ok, lets see what the future brings...

I wouldn't mind the scene as DLC after the story ends. That is how I voted. SC Stories could even leave whether or not the scene was canon up to the player. I voted for the scene as DLC mostly because I do find all the psychological drama entertaining. All 3 main characters are messed up people, and I can't relate to any one of them, but the torment, the manipulations, and the self-delusions of the characters does draw you into the story. Despite all of that, I would not want to be around the 3 of them in real life. I sometimes feel bad for Hutch, but his weakness constantly infuriates me, and makes me want to slap some sense into him. He makes it VERY DIFFICULT to feel bad for him.
Very well put! I couldn't agree more with your assessment and your suggestion to bring some scenes into a final special of the game is great and makes all the sense. First and foremost, cause it doesn't breaks the character or jeopardizes the flow of the story between the 3 main characters, secondly because it allows the story to continue around the inner and exterior dramas of each of them, mainly Vivian, about whom, the aura of moral doubt, the inner torments about her actions, the awkwerdness posed by the betrayal and so on, make for a quite exciting and thrilling caracter. Again, I do think that a big part of the atraction of this story is exactly that, the dilemas and the harsh reality they bring upon. To wrap this with images of Vivian going trough her sexual and sensual voyage, its a travel to do.

FWIW, I keyed on the dev's criticism when he said "maybe even slightly detrimental to the emotional tug of war of the main characters."
My guess is that the scene would alter one or more legs of the Hutch-Vivian-Christian triangle. I doubt that it would affect Hutch in any way because nothing about this story is good for Hutch (let's face it: he could, and should, kill himself tomorrow and I don't think it would impact the story much; he's just a lousy doormat) so I assume it would impact Vivian-Christian.
Either she would abandon her fantasy that she isn't a total whore (she is, IMO) or maybe Christian's hold on her would lessen somehow.
Either way, nothing changes for Hutch. He's beneath the reader's contempt at this point and serves no purpose in the story any more except for those players who thrive on watching people suffer.
And I take your point about how Hutch really isn't the MC. I guess because we started the game with him that's how I viewed things. My error on that one.

I understood the “detrimental” part to mean it lessens the apparent love Vivian still claims to have for her family; either by saying something unflattering during sex or by forgoing her maternal & wifely duties in favor of satisfying a sexual urge.

my first playthrough of this game had me waiting impatiently for Hutch to do SOMETHING. by the time we get to the end of s2, i was thinking..another fucking loser cuck. but i am hoping that i am wrong about that and we will get a revenge path where Hutch goes nuclear option on both Shithead and Cheating slut. best revenge on Shithead is to fuck his company up completely. perhaps framing him for embezzlement. Hutch is a numbers guy and an important man in the firm according to Shithead himself. so Hutch should be able to fuck him hard if he actually goes off on him. then Viv he can release vids of her fucking Christian, and whoever else she goes off with. just hire a PI and get the evidence and then he can divorce her and take everything..including her son who it seems to me would absolutely hate his mother if he knew what she was up to. just how i would like to see the story go, but probably that won't happen.

I am generally of the same mind as MIGames there - although I think the Sunshine and Rain scene was important for Vivian for a number of reasons (as well as being a good overall scene or couple of scenes), I still see it being best as a love (or sex) triangle between Vivian, Hutch, and Christian. More partners for Vivian would dilute the story for me. It'll still be enjoyable, I'm sure, and still hot undoubtedly, but I don't think it would feel the same.
The intensity of this one for me was the story of an affair, not the story of a woman catching up on the numbers she missed through being a loyal wife for over twenty years.
i thought the scene with Rain and Sunshine was pretty hot but was surprised that the dev made Viv into an anal virgin. would have pegged her as an anal slut in her wild days and then she lets them re-introduce her to anal to complete her journey back to whoredom completely. and of course, she was doing it so that she would be ready when Shitbag decides to assfuck her and whoever else she lets do it. but it will never be Hutch since he won't touch her anymore..

This poll is not a good idea at all. It is framed in a way that makes it a sort of public negotiation about the moral character of Vivian, and this is exactly what is happening here. It is a way for the author of giving up responsibility, like saying: it's not me, I was reluctant to make her a "whore", I didn't want that, you wanted it. It's a way of introducing player's choice through the backdoor in a game which doesn't wanted and needed it. I thought it was all layed out in the beginning, all writing finished.
Everything should be solely about the consistency of the story, not about the moral image of one character and hurting the sensibilities of readers. Both things get mixed up here. If she is "selfish", so what? The dev says the scene was in it from the beginning - so what exactly changed? If the scene is written well - why shouldn't it be part of the "emotional development" of Vivian? Nothing is "degrading" if it is written well. It's not a question of her having more sex with more people, it depends on how she gets to that and what motives drive her to that. And this behaviour is well within the range of what we have seen so far. Her search for gratification is urgent enough, her confusion is big enough for that.
As a reader I'm not interested in a product other readers have decided for me to see or not.

Here is a thought. Hutch has opened his marriage . He knows she is having sex with Christian. She did it because he said it is OK. Or she felt a bit of power from it. Christian has openly sent Vivian to fucked by the client. After she said it gave her a sense of power. He Christian said he owns her. She in turn says she agrees... She is his. Either she is a very good Actress or Spy for Hutch or,,, She is soon to be sent out by Christian to other client evenings. I'll bet she would even go to a MMF party for him.

Cheating stories are most compelling when the affair is contained to a single person. As the dev himself put it, My Husband's Boss is about the emotional tug-of-war between the husband, wife, and the boss.
Vivian going out and having a threesome with complete strangers was already enough to have her labeled as a irrevocable slut, which is only logical. it's precisely why keeping the NTR/cheating partners to a minimum (ideally, a single person, the designated NTR antagonist) elevates the experience - because people IRL don't go out and fuck dozens of people; they have affairs with a person, not gangbangs and/or trains run on them.
In fact, the Rain/Sunshine scene already cemented Vivian as a whore who only acted the part of a suburban housewife for all these years (effectively deceiving Hutch) for many of us. Perhaps she could've been redeemed still if that scene wasn't included in the story. However, now the dev is warning us that voting for this mystical scene might further "prove" that Vivian only loved Hutch for what he could provide, not for the man he was. Like Dealbreaker said, it's almost as if the dev is trying to shift the blame for writing Vivian as an irredeemable slut on us, the fans.

Agreed, the game doesn't have 600+ pages of discussion after such a short period of time because it has great sex scenes (don't get me wrong they're still top tier). A lot of games on this site have well designed characters and choreographed sex scenes. What separates this game from the others is the plot, the dialogue, the emotional turmoil of wanting to find out what will happen, will she fall deeper down the rabbit hole... which is why I was hoping the scene being discussed for voting in the poll won't distract or harm the emotional weight of the story.
