i don't think so. that would be too typical a narrative and only mediocre. As we realize after 80 pages, Dev is not a mediocre craver.
It would be a good way to setup Addisons response to it. She would be protective of Hutch and aggressive to Vivian and Christian. it would end up being very dramatic. She will take Hutch out of the building at the same time Vivian will be nervous, angry and upset her husband just left with a younger woman. Christian would make it worse by saying she had a crush on Hutch for the longest. If DEV is as clever as I think he is he would be able to pull it off.

I do not believe that Hutch told Vivian he has nothing to offer her. If he truly believed that, I think he would give up on their marriage. Also, "the better man" in what way? Christian is a scheming and manipulative POS. If all women did is desire men who can give them the most sexual satisfaction at any one moment, then what a world it would be. So Christian may be "what she wants" in a sense (for now), but is that the man she really wants altogether? I suppose the continuation of the story will answer more of this question regardless of any discussion here; however, I have a hard time believing that Vivian would think Christian is what she altogether wants in a man if she comes to her senses.

Speaking of which, one potential (albeit unlikely) path that would interest me is if somehow along the way Vivian and Hutch would become better partners for each other by both changing in a positive direction, despite (or ironically in part) because of the inner turmoil they experience for having allowed this to happen.
That can only happen if they switch roles for good. Vivian becomes submissive and Hutch becomes dominant. You see how she responded when he was in the kitchen she was shocked by his aggression. If Hutch picked up his sack off the floor and boldly took his wife back from Christian by claiming her again and shocking the shit out of her. But as they are now they will never be happy again.

That would be an interesting twist, and potentially satisfying, regardless of who ended up with who in the end.

In the end it will be her son in whatever capacity that will hit her the hardest. Hutch said it himself he has nothing to offer her, Christian is the better man and he is what she wants. So she knows Hutch has resigned himself but soon she is going to start to humiliate him. Someone at work is going to find out that is his wife and then the humiliation will begin and she will join in on it. She will of course later shed tears but at that point hutch will be broken.

I agree a lot with you and hope the dev will include Vivian coming back to reality. Not only for some kind of justice for Hutch but because it would make no sense she falls entirely for Christian considering the guy is downright evil and it shows :

- sleeping with one employee's wife is one thing, continue to do it with the guy nearby when you know he saw you is an other
- he knew Hutch knew but didn't say it to Vivian and even lied about it
- he has a severe lack of empathy (characteristic of antisocial behaviour disorder)
- manipulative tendencies

But by the end, considering what we have seen, i don't know if they can be partners again.

And this shows she has stopped respecting him :

Take this scene for example :

We know Vivian is a screamer. The guests can make 2+2

This shows she has totally stop to care about her husband's feelings. What makes me wonder is the almost neutral expression of Hutch.

The argument outside the wife found out that the boss knew that Hutch saw/heard everything at the house and in the bathroom, but still continued. If she cared at all about Hutch that would be the end of it, knowing exactly what kind of person he is.

But when he walks up behind her and whispers in her ear she forgets herself again (for a short time). He is manipulative, knows how to work his way around any situation, his game is to play them against each other, as shown when he tells her to start an argument if he keeps asking.

This also shows she does not care anymore, as it is not just him holding her hand, but she is also holding his, there is no regret here anymore.

Classic gaslighting, which is a major red flag. Vivian is under his spell, but i don't think she realizes the magnitude of his perversion. And he lied he said he saw the CCTV after. He smiled when he saw objects moved in the kitchen and looked at his camera at this moment. He already knew and he teases Hutch with that. But don't worry I'm not here to defend Vivian, it's obvious she hasa MAJOR responsibility in what happens, she not a victim and she might transform herself in bully.

Absolutely. Imagine Addison has started flirting in the patio with Hutch.

I think that's exactly the scenario that's going to move forward. I even think Vivian is the main character for the author. It's like something very personal to justify his cheating.
And then we see how they hold hands, how she doesn't care that her husband's around. So I don't know if I'm going to keep playing, as I don't want to see Vivian enjoying all this (especially judging by the tags found, there will be more to come). I'll just wait for the update to come out, and ask what was shown.

Wait and see. That seems too simple an explanation to me. We don't know what Christian blackmailed her with in the garden. And we don't know how Christian knew what she looked like and that she was a bad girl.
It might also turn out that Hutch hasn't loved Vivian for a long time and he doesn't feel any sexual attraction for her?

Correct. But Hutch doesn't care in the picture. Perhaps at that moment he has accepted for himself that he no longer loves her and that they have been in a pensioner's marriage for the last few years. From now on he can be on the road

Believe me after 22 years of marriage it doenst matter is the wife is unhappy with her sexlife and it doesnt matter how much she enjoys sex with Christian that holding hands in that way is beyond from being loyal and is again any deals . it is too intim. Like two lovers. This is very danger sign and if Vivian is naive to recognize that kind of detail it means she is very very dumb and not that clever as she looks like.

Vivian is naive if she thinks she can maintain her marriage after this. Regardless of an open marriage the fact that you can jump into it so easy and freely do it in front of your husband shows she doesn't care or she is just enjoying it for as long as she can with the delusion everything will be ok.

I never thought she was clever tbh. I just hope she won't be so dumb it will break my suspension of disbelief

I mean let be honest she is a teacher at the school and that kind of woman like Vivians knows those sign of involving together in a relationship. She is the kind of woman whos personality takes care of every detail. And noway she cant be aware of this holding hand without having later a conversation why she did it. They just are coming out of one room no need to help her in that way , normally Christian could touch her back a little bit moving forward. I hope there is after the scene an explanation .
