The new version is better. The changes for Anya are good, Maki in addition is nice, but primarily the changes for taking out Luke and replacing by another actor - and the new ending between Ari and Eric does fit the story much better. Well done
Loved the new update, but nobody will hold me from keeping the Gold edition 
And as someone who didn't mind her going as far as deepthroating during the photo shoot, the toning down was the perfect amount imo.

But mb, as we've been speculating lately, she will show some more photos to Erik in the "reclaiming" process or he will find out their is more on a webpage, because what they did with Ari is x100 more "potent" IMO. Just to balance the scale.

After this upd. it's almost confirmed that Vi is going wild in the next interaction, while I really enjoyed jolt of emothions from previous version, it was logical decision to tone the whole thing down a little, whether I like it or not so much. It would've been hard to make something later to contest with that version.

After almost a year and a half since the release.... with six chapters and a DLC.. all we've gotten is... handjob from Violet.. .(She is the fav, also for many among the fab base... my ranking would be 1)Voilet ,2) Anya, 3) Erik's milf neighbour, 4)Erik's step-mom...).. I am not a big fan of Ari.. But after 6 chapters the more action Erik got is from Ari... while my Fav chick Voilet is still in basic NTS stage while being the more naughty minded compared to Erik... Either the dev has lost the point or scared to take the next step with Voilet... I don't get it... WHY???!!! I have blue balls and I am frustrated... Ari material is just annoying.. For me Violet is at most priority and nontheless the good set up is settled to "let her free"
Ari is a good character only with Vi together(she kind of gives courage to Vi) in the same scenes and I think next time we see them back to back action is riding some bbc or exploring Gh idk.(plz dont kill me for those words)
I like your optimism, however we've been burned by some devs before with good setups and then the devs chicken out and back off. It's like they've fallen in love with their own character or something and begin putting them on a pedestal. This is beginning to have those hallmarks. Thank you, developer, for being up-front about the kinetic trajectory of your product. I wish more developers would be this transparent up-front.
While I won't shame anyone for their kinks like cuckoldry, etc., I don't share or appreciate them so I won't be attempting your story. Also, I tend to not like trajectory stories and instead prefer games where my choices have meaningful impacts upon the outcomes. To me, that's the "game" part...
I will keep an eye out for any other products you produce, though, because I like where your head is on setting expectations.
Good luck on your venture and I hope to see something new / different from you in the future.

I guess part of it is what you are expecting. There are a lot of expectations around this novel it seems and they are all diverging hard of late. I don't think either of the extremes will get what they want. Vi is definitely going to have sex with other men, it is a given. But I do think her relationship with Eric will still be maintained and not in a cuck fashion. So if folks are hoping for that, there may be disappointment. That said, those that think any time she has sex without Eric in the room is cuckoldry and forbidden, well they will likely be disappointed as well. The will swing, they will explore others separately but seemingly as a part of pushing one another and enjoying their relationship. Now, do I always "get" that. Nope, but that is what I see this as being.
Lastly I will state that I do not think Eric is rapidly outpacing Vi. The Ari scene is his first sex scene with another woman. Cha5 was his first non VI BJ. The most he has had was the handjob from Maki prior to that. Now, if I had my way VI would have had her first non Eric BJ in the alley in Cha5 but that ship has sailed. However I am sure her full scene are coming. I just don't expect that she is going to separate from Eric as a part of that, from past Dev comments. But who knows, they could always pivet.
I think the changes improved the chapter, but I am still in the camp of worried the story might stall out, perhaps just because for me this chapter had only a sex scene with my least favorite girl... But perhaps the next will deliver with some of my preferred ones lol.

I agree with most of what you're saying. It's just the back peddling that's disappointing and the claims of not being influenced by part of the fan base, when clearly that's the case. Hopefully this is just a one off and not an indication of future inconsistencies.
Maki is kinda redundant, I want to focus on violet, some ari, some anya… but focus is vi
