While the game has been in development for over a year, it's important to remember that less than a month has passed in the game's internal timeline. That's why I find it hard to agree with the claims that "the plot is developing too slowly."
Of course, waiting is never pleasant, but we have to be realistic: a developer simply can't release high-quality updates every single week. Working with AI is a complex and labor-intensive process, not just a matter of pressing a button. Maybe by 2050 it will be that easy (if we live long enough, that is).
As for the claims that he 'can and should' release updates more often or that he should have finished everything long ago... I can't speak about that with the same certainty as some people. We don't know him personally and have no idea what's going on in his life. Maybe he's being lazy or deliberately stalling the process, or maybe he has other concerns—personal issues, or he's volunteering at an animal shelter, for example. It's rather rash to judge without knowing all the circumstances.
Your criticism about the plot's pacing would carry a lot more weight if the gameplay lasted, say, 10 hours. However, at the moment it's only about two and that depends entirely on your reading speed and "hand speed."
So, while he's out there possibly rescuing kittens from trees or fending off Martians, I'm just going to put my expectations on pause and go level up my patience skill. They say it's the rarest resource on the internet anyway.
