Rendered graphics would be covered under Illustrated. What's the "other part" that matters to them? Developers have been operating under these rules for a long time, these aren't new restrictions. These are actually old restrictions since in the latest update they said they were getting rid of the "Game of Thrones" bit to "minimize confusion."

So why not just have a Patreon account where you do nothing at all with it other than post progress updates and maybe non-lewded images. They wouldn't be able to give him a hard time with that, and the fans could still donate without issues. Use Discord for the content releases and lewds (if it hasn't already been done that way yet).

When Patreon finds that he's releasing game updates to his discord that's linked to this game, or when they discover that game updates are being released to this site which links to his Patreon, they'll potentially use that as an opportunity to shut his Patreon down. Quite a few devs have had what goes on in their F95zone threads used as a basis to have their Patreons put under review lately. It's happened to Killer now, it's happened to Trope, Radiant had their Patreon links removed from the F95 thread so it wouldn't happen to them.
Patreon doesn't care if it happens off site, and it looks like they don't care if it's fan made. If your work is incest adjacent enough that it's tagged as an incest game they'll reserve the right to shut it down off of their service. We really need a new alternative way to pay developers. Subscribe Star is good but they're not going to last forever either. Eventually the credit card companies will put the same pressure on them that they put on paypal, who then put it on Patreon.
