How did i not review this title yet!!!!

This is an Amazing fun story, Taylor and Nikki are great together and to experience that through "Tails" eyes is wonderfully depicted by the Developer. Nikki is a wild and Sweet Character and well rendered, As i played I found myself not giving a shit about anyone else.. The journey Taylor and Nikki go on was a joy to experience .....

I hope Sumodeine has more stories to tell!!

Good, 4 stars ,above avg. but not top tear. Very much enjoyed it though:)
Lots of options with twist , Still have some play through s to do to get all outcomes ,I suggest if you never played it before to play without walk-though and see what you get then play with walk-though. Have fun , Nice job to the Devs.

I'm confused by all the low ratings of this VN. I found it to be a perfect mix of story and sex. The MC is likable and believable (No monster cock, the build of a nerdy 18 year old, no grey zombie skin, not the same 1980's hair as a lot of other VNs). The women are well rendered and have unique personalities. The writing is well thought out and funny. I played three of the endings and was pretty satisfied by all of them. This doesn't quite crack my top 5 but it's pretty damn close.

This is a solid game. No real stakes here but you do have choices that impact the storyline. I've played through multiple times and each playthrough was interesting.

I thought the characters were all interesting in their own way, even if somewhat cliche. I found psycho Ashley to be hilarious and somewhat realistic. Most guys will have experienced an Ashley in their lives by the age of 25.

Minor quibble with the game. Nikki is assumed to be your sister but the game refers to her as your childhood friend. I assume this was to get around Patreon's ridiculous rules. A solution to this type of problem is to set it up at the beginning with allowing the user to set the name and the relationship (default "Nikki" and "childhood friend.).

Graphics in this game were above average but not outstanding. Sex scenes were solid. The women are all beautiful and not afflicted with BTS (average C-Cup). No animations.

    Graphics - 8/10
    Story - 8/10
    Characters - 7/10
    Fun - 8/10

I just played this and I have to say that I hated Nikki, I had already played games with a similar theme "Lil Bro/Big Sis" where it is established that the sister is or was slutty like, Life, Lewd story, Milfy city, the tyrant, etc... but this one goes to another level, but there are other girls that make this game worth it.

This was one of my favorite games of all time. Although it did not cover my favorite kink (hypno seduction), it was very well done (realistic art, great writing, great story) and very entertaining. It is realistic in that there are no harem finishes, but there were plenty of hookups, group events and POV shots to get excited about. Just when it starts getting grindy, they would throw something in to make me LOL (like how the dildo store salesperson knew Nikki and the dildo assortment on the table).

I strogly recommend a play through or two. My only suggested improvements would be correcting a half dozen typos and more animation during sex scenes.

I've only recently discovered this game so my rating is based on the final version of it, with music, different endings and stuff. That's the only version I have known. Judging by what I've been reading, I understand that people who followed it from the beginning might have had quite a bumpy ride and have mixed feelings. That's obviously not my case.

MS,MR is a great game in many respects.

    - Writing: While it's not the most complex or original story in the world, the game follows a well-conceived narrative thread. It's full of witty conversations and it's probably the porn VN that has made me laugh the most of all I've played. Ashley's madness, those references to other VN's or even this forum, some tongue-in-cheek kink shaming, crazy wisecracks like "the elephant in the room"... They were everywhere and make this game somewhat unique.
I'll talk about the endings later.

    - Art: The game started off with pretty average renders, some of them even a bit weird I must say. As it progressed, the artistic quality became much better and in the latter part of the story most renders were very nice , with some of them being absolutely gorgeous.
As for the models, I especially commend the real body types chosen for the ladies. All of them were different yet gorgeous. Special mention for those perky asses :HideThePain:.

    - Animations: One thing I detest in more modest devs is that tendency to include those loop "animations" no matter what. They aren't beautiful, they aren't sexy, they are a waste of time and effort. If one dev doesn't have the ability or hardware to produce quality custom animations, I'd rather have more sexy still pics and hot text descriptions than one of those ridiculous loops. Well, Sumodeine included a number of those loops but later on for whatever reason he moved on to providing more sexual renders instead. Very wise decision which improved the sexual content of the second half of the game. For instance, that threesome with Molly or the foursome with C&C were hot-as-fuck scenes! And without any need for lousy animations.

    - Music: If I'm not mistaken, I read that music was only added in the final build of the game. Well, I can play games without music but for me nothing beats the atmosphere created by music. It doesn't have to be anything fancy or expensive. I mean, this game makes use of just a bunch of different tracks but they fit just perfect. To be honest, without it my general impression may have been worse.

    - The Endings: A touchy subject.
OK, as I said I obviously based my rating on the final version of the game (as everyone should, BTW.) However, I would like to point out that after aaaaaaall that teasing it was only normal for players to feel disappointed if they had no possibility of a happy end with Nikki.

With that in mind, I'm absolutely satisfied with how the game was completed. Your choices matter and everyone was able to pretty much shape Taylor's future as they wanted.
I played all paths, but for me my first choice was fucking everybody until Molly proposed, then I followed the Molly alone path with Nikki single. It just felt more natural to me.
I get what Sumo meant with that conversation on the couch after watching the film on Christmas Eve. That stuff about romantic films always having cliched endings, how more original it would be if the people involved just enriched one another without being together in the end, etc. Although I get the message and actually applied it in my first playthrough because I thought that Nikki was just being a mentor to Taylor, I do believe that the different branching paths should have been included in the first place. This was a light-hearted X-game that depicted an 18-yo sister jerking, sucking off and then fucking her 18 y-o brother. At that point, how were all players supposed to picture such deep considerations and not expect an ending with the second most relevant character of the game, with whom not only sexual tension but also feelings were built up during the course of the whole game?

That being said, I repeat, I'm glad that Sumo rectified and provided such a great variety of endings. I have a gripe though: Skylar. Her dismissal from the story seemed rushed, and for me she was the sexiest character in the game. Unlike Jessica who was only after sex, Skylar showed feelings for Taylor. It came as an unpleasant surprise to me that she was out of the picture. At least she could have joined the thruple instead of Nikki, for example.
But I guess you can't have everything ;)

I'm really looking forward to Sumo's next project. If he applies what he learnt during the development of this game to improve his art, while keeping the same sense of humour and the human touch of this story, he can count me as a new fan.

This is the worst game I've ever played. In most VN player has an option to choose a girl. In this game you can never choose a feeling to girls and MC is really disgusting. This game starts with forced scene and forced NTR with a main heroin. The Worst thing is about Ashley. At first Ashley (one of the characters) was not a crazy girl and I was expcting some romance and her ending. I thought she was one of the main characters. But MC always treated her as a crazy girl and at some point the Dev made her true psycho and ruined her whole life. This is a deception to the players like me. It really pissed me off. Every game is for the fun and enjoyment. I never recommend this shit to anyone.

Not a bad game, but also not the best.

The character models were good for the most part. Although they all wore the same clothes most of the time and were sometimes positioned in weird poses. The sex animations weren't particularly great. Although some of the actual sex positions they were in in the static pics were pretty good.

There was sporadic spelling and grammar errors in the script, but nothing bad. I did like some of the humor. I could have done without the fourth wall breaking though, but I imagine I'm in the minority on that.

The overall story isn't bad, although it does tend to drag on in a few places.

Taylor is your stereotypical socially awkward dork type character that's been played out. He doesn't understand sexual innuendo like he's 5 years old. Which makes it even more comical that all of the girls in the game basically can't wait to jump his dick like he's the one they've all been waiting for. I do think it was a mistake to have him lose his virginity at the very start of the game to his mom's drunken friend. I think that should have been the players choice on who he lost it to.

I liked Nikki. She was probably my favorite. Her model was hot and I liked her witty personality.

Ashley's model was hot, but was a psycho and I hated her from the start.

I liked Cory and Chelsea. Their models were hot, but they were a packaged deal. You couldn't just have a relationship with just one of them.

I liked the model for Professor Janet, but her character felt incomplete. After the second encounter with the threesome with her husband you never hear from her again nor do you go to class anymore. It's like her whole character arc was suddenly dropped.

Molly was the stereotypical innocent sheltered girl who doesn't even know how to masturbate. This archetype is also pretty played out. Molly's model is probably the frumpiest right after Tyler's mom and her friend. I was doing alright with her until she took her pants off for the first time and saw the rain forest she had that extended all the way back past her asshole. It was disgusting. It's like she had never shaved her cunt. I'm surprised she didn't have hairy pits too.

I didn't really care about Skyler, Sarah, or the other minor characters.

Some parts of the game could have been done better. I would say it's worth a try though.

My Sister, My Roommate [v1.69] [Sumodeine]

"My Sister, My Roommate" by Sumodeine left me feeling thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I had high hopes for this game, but it ultimately failed to deliver on multiple fronts.

First and foremost, the game feels incredibly outdated. In a gaming landscape where we've seen significant advancements in graphics, gameplay mechanics, and storytelling, "My Sister, My Roommate" feels like a relic from the past. The lack of variety in locations, clothing options, and character poses is jarring. It's as if the game got stuck in a time warp, unable to keep up with the modern standards we've come to expect from visual novels.

The characters, including the main character, are flat and uninteresting. The protagonist's spineless demeanor and constant "nice guy syndrome" made him incredibly difficult to relate to or root for. His interactions with others often came across as awkward and unrealistic. Molly, initially a character I was intrigued by, devolved into a one-dimensional, innocent and naive girl trope as the game progressed. Her character development felt lacking, and it was disappointing to see her become increasingly underdeveloped mentally.

Nikki, the twin sister, felt like an overbearing presence throughout the game. The fact that the main character blindly followed her instructions without question made him seem more like a puppet than a relatable character. Nikki's omnipresence in the storyline became tiresome, and it felt like she was essentially the second main character, overshadowing others.

I had hoped that the different character routes would provide some depth and variety to the story, but I was let down in that regard as well. Chelsey's ending was bundled with Corey, which felt like a forced package deal, and Ashley's route was barely mentioned, coming off as an afterthought.

The writing, while occasionally humorous, was mostly filled with empty dialogue that didn't add to the overall experience. It felt like a waste of time as I progressed through the game, and I found myself becoming less and less engaged the longer I played.

Lastly, the constant beeping glitch in the music was incredibly annoying and disrupted any immersion I might have had. It felt like a technical oversight that should have been addressed before the game's release.

Overall, "My Sister, My Roommate" is a dated and lackluster visual novel that falls short in terms of character development, storytelling, and technical polish. It left me feeling unsatisfied and wishing I had spent my time on a more compelling and up-to-date gaming experience.

Really enjoyed the finished game (v1.69). It's funny, engaging and well-paced.

I loved the relationship between Nikki and Taylor; for my money one of the best "roommate" dynamics that I've seen in these kinds of games. It's complex, funny and hot. It's so interesting to read that the dev only belatedly came to accept how compelling that relationship was, with the characters gravitating towards each other in a way that was seemingly counter to the original stated intention. Indeed at times you still feel the game pulling you in different directions: telling you why you can't have the relationship you want, whilst simultaneously showing you why it's so great, with little teases, hints and dialogue exchanges between Nikki and Taylor that are leaps and bounds ahead of anything other love interests offer.

In the end I agree with one of the characters when they say that maybe there's a reason people like the main characters to get together in the end, there's a reason why it's a cliche: it's because it's incredibly satisfying. Thanks to Sumodeine for giving us hopeless romantics the option of having that ending, and thanks for a great game. Highly recommended.

For me, the game came out to pretty average. There were definitely some humorous plot elements that I enjoyed and some decent art. However, the writing in general didn't trip my trigger. Some of the decisions and plot turns just didn't really seem to work together all that well.

I haven't even finished this one yet, but there have been sooooooo many tastefully placed memes and cultural references in this game that I am in love. Also, the thinly-veiled statements and pointed references in defense of this type of game really was a treasure; that point when everyone breaks the fourth wall to give me a look was priceless.

I played like 15min and already got two forced scenes one fucking and old hag and you cant reject her, the other your sister fucking some random dude in your room and you cant even object or beat him up... luckily you can pretend to sleep whatever good that'll do.
Having no way to avoid these scenes I imagine theres just more to come. I wont continue playing.

I'm writing this review for the sole purpose of contributing to boosting its rating. I don't know why this game has just 3.5 stars. It's definitely 4+.

The story is really good with good humor too. There are a number of paths to choose from. I really loved Molly. She's rendered really beautifully and I'm really glad her storyline wasn't rushed at all. All the teasing was worth it. The game has all types of characters for your liking. Whether you want to build a romantic relationship or just want to have casual sex, the game lets you choose the path.

The only character which wasn't my type was Cory. Although that's just my preference. Although the story involving Cory really made up for not liking the render.

    Overall it's a must try.

For @Sumodeine - I'm glad you made the predictable happy endings. I know you wanted to make the game realistic but we come to play the games so that we can get a sense of control on the life of the MC. At least for me, these games are a source of coping with the unpredictability of real life. I'm not saying not to include the more realistic endings. Just that since it's a "game", there should be the predictable vanilla ending AND the ending which makes sense. That IMO makes the game really good.

I really enjoyed the characters in this game. They all had unique and interesting personalities, especially Nikki. Nikki was definitely the highlight of the game for me. Her character was well developed and interesting.

The graphics and renders were OK but worked well overall. The game could use better detailed characters (renders) but it didn't distract from the game or story much.

Some of the girls were a bit too eager to hook up with Taylor, being an average looking skinny nerd. Many of the girls acted as if he was a gorgeous hunk which didn't fit his appearance. He had way more sex appeal than someone like him should have. Still the story and writing were well done and overall believable if you accept the fact that Taylor was a super lucky guy and very likeable despite being a skinny nerd.

The best part of the story is Taylor's interactions with his sister Nikki. This part of the game really sets it above many of the incest games out there! Sure, it is a bit far fetched at times but isn't so much so that it ruins the great story and relationship between them.

I didn't choose the Molly path and was satisfied with the ending. I played the final version of the game so I didn't run into the issues that many players experienced in earlier versions of the game.

One grip though is the game belittling me numerous times for my choice to keep Molly as a friend. It basically said, "you are stupid for making that choice but I'll let you make it anyway." It almost made me reload a save game and choose Molly but I wanted to stick with a different path despite the consequences. I chose the C&C Spike Factory (with Nikki) and didn't regret it.

I do highly recommend this game. It is one of the few incest games that has a deep and meaningful relationship with your sister. The story and writing are well done between Taylor and Nikki. Nikki has a well developed personality and it really shines throughout the game.

Thank you for an awesome game!

A very enjoyable game where the dev is both invested in making a realistic story but also listening to his community. While the renders are nothing astonishing, the sister's personality is alluring and makes you wanting more. Without giving spoilers, the original ending of the game sparked a bit of outrage from some but was realistic and well done. Listening to his community he added an alternative ending that meant that people looking for realism or pleasure both had an option to choose. Very impressed with Sumodeine and would recommend this game and his future work.

Not 100% up my alley, but it's well made, plenty of choices, multiple endings, and it has one of the few "random violence" subplots that didn't make me roll my eyes.

If you like lots of choices, LOTS of sex scenes, and humor, this is the game for you!

I like to have choices that lead to a different development of the continuing story and different endings. With his 1.69 update the dev made that possible and i rly like what he did. A lot of different girls (different in personality and looks), a nice story with a portion of good humor have turned this game to be one of the games in my "rly good" Folder.
