I believe they (Mom and daughter) are going shopping and MC may be going with them. Not sure from the way the dev described it "As you know, we're going shopping with the girls. Also you'll spend a short time at your office and get to know your Boss and his secretary. No worries, both are also only small side characters. The main focus is still on your neighbors
" When he says "we are going shopping" maybe that just us the players, not the MC" but "you" the MC are going to the office. I would be not surprised if MC works in a little seduction time with one or both (D or M).

I take it many of these same assets are for sale or free on Daz3d websites. So yes, it is very, very similar, though in Babysitter, different places in the models (oven, doors, refrigerator) are interactive Hotspots.Is it just me or does that apartment look a lot like the 1 from Babysitter?

I've spotted a number of Daz products depicting various locations in the Daz store. Specifically the hospital room, coffee shop, casino and bowling alley used in Dating My Daughter (I'm sure there are others too), the apartment used in Babysitter (and the bathroom which is different than the one included in the apartment product used in Babysitter), the library used in Dreams of Desire...
It's a lot of work to build new location models, and a lot of people (myself included) just rely on the work of others for this. Although I will mod/graft locations as needed to fit my purposes.
But yeah, a few of the locations seem to get reused a lot. I'll be guilty of this too when the time comes to release my own thing, but hopefully I can put a new spin on some of these at least.
And the wait for My Sweet Neighbors 0.0.3 continues...

In his pants maybe! We can always hope for a threeway that results from him walking in, but somehow I doubt that'll happen, at least not this early in the story. Plus it's about the cute neighbors not the boss's secretary, so the MC doesn't need the distraction...

Even if they minor characters, i still think they may be used for "blackmail and quick fuck" or something like that. As we know, Jessica and Yumi is gonna be used for some lesbian action later. Is it really "build up" kinda story? For example, mother seems like a pretty easy character to seduce. I don't see much problems with that.

About this update
In v0.0.3 you will go shopping with the girls resulting in some nice situations for the main character
v0.0.3 adds more than 340 new images and 4 new animated scenes.
Again, I'm really excited about the new version, and I can't wait to show it to you!
