Still only getting them with Julia and Kay, in spite of being over 45 with either everybody on old save or everybody but Catalina in new save (started yesterday on mac steam version, if it matters).
Depending on how old the save is, it could be an issue with that. Saves older than v0.9.4 won't work. Otherwise, attach your save and we'll take a look at it.

finished the game today and it was ok.
i like Faerin , his games and that he always brings them to an end.

but this time I was a little disappointed, the ending somehow didn't feel like it was...well it was not so fulfilling for my taste.
maybe I expected too much after MitH.

but I still give it a solid 8/10 rating.:)

let's see what's next, can't wait.

Renamed for upload compatibility, I guess. This was created from 0 on the steam release.
I'm not seeing any problems in your save as all of the girls (except Catalina) show repeatable events. In the first screenshot, Kay isn't showing the lips icon due to the fact that she has a night event. But once you do that and go to the next night, you'll see that she's showing the lips. I can also confirm that I tested Riley's and it works.

That's interesting, as here's what I see: screencap.jpg

It's not just a visual bug, either, if I go check one of the non-lips girls, it's the standard "knock on door, go back to your room sad and lonely scene".

I assume you're not running the steam release?

Yeah I have both the Steam and the Patreon version and checked it with both versions and it looks like same for me as I had shown in my screenshot.

I hope his next game will be more like "Man in the house!"
It will be, and you could have had it this time, but you guys voted for this one because it said 'sister' in the description, you have no one to blame but yourselves. :p

But yes, the next one will be more story focused, and less about the mechanics.

Any ideas what I should do? The only difference I got now is that I'm on the mac version and you're not.

Well we had another one of our Mac guys take a look and he sees the same thing you're seeing on your end. We're not sure why, but it appears that might be a bug. We'll have to confirm that of course with another one of the testers, but he's offline at the moment. And right now, Faerin is away until next Sunday, and that's not a bug we can fix ourselves unfortunately. But yes, it's showing on Windows.

I'm picking up from an old save. I've been playing a while and my guests never upgrade or move beyond basic activities, do I need to start a fresh save or something?

If it's older than 0.9.4, then yeah. You'd have to start over. Older saves won't work.

Umm... as I recall...
No... don't trust my memory, let me do a search...........
..............
Found it...
The was for real gameplay mechanics with middling story focus.

Did something change since then that I missed? (Admittedly, I've not been watching the thread very closely lately).

Oh.. and since I'm in the neighborhood again...
Could someone please give me a more detailed explanation of this patch note:
• Implemented the pink pill, which allows you to reroll your trait choices for one shift.

What, precisely, are it's mechanics and it's cost?

I'm hoping it'll fix the reason I stopped playing ;)

I was talking about last time, when they voted for the Hotel game, because it mentioned 'sister' in the description. The one where this game won, when MotH was ending. In the new one, they voted for more story focused, and less mechanics.

IIRC, it is the one that lets you reroll the traits that the girls get per level. I can't remember the cost, but it will last for one shift.

The winner of the poll I linked was:
Character development: 3/4 out of 5
Sexual content: 4 out of 5
Main story: 3/4 out of 5
Gameplay: 4/5 out of 5

edit: Oopps. Linked the wrong poll. Should have linked
But the winner was the same.

But I know you're well tied in with the Faerin and his support staff, so I'm inclined to take you at face value when you say the above is not representative of what was finally decided for the next project.

So I'm guessing there was a change of direction that I didn't see.

Ok... so it changes all the girls existing traits, for one shift?
Drat. I was hoping it'd 're-roll' the choices of the next trait to take (and that it'd be cheap enough to be reasonable), making my playstyle viable again.

No they change permanent, when you go to the well
The well? How does that tie into the pink pill?
Wait... let me come at this from a different angle.

The mechanic that 'broke' the game for me (that is: for my playstyle), was when the ability to rapidly re-roll the choice of next trait to take (yes, that was obviously a placeholder) was replaced by being locked into whatever the RNG gave you for the next possible 3. Unless you save-scummed... a lot.

So, what I'm hoping for is that the pink pill (or well? or something else?) allows the player to re-roll the selection of 3 traits to take next when a woman has trait points available.

The polls you are showing were done when this game was ending, I was talking about the polls from when MotH was ending. Many of the people who are complaining about the game mechanics, were the same ones who voted for this game, because it promised incest, and the other options did not mention them (though, odds are they still would have had it). Due to that reactionary voting, rather than thinking about it for a moment, and realizing they they all would have had it, they voted for this, and then are not happy with the result.

As for the pills, you buy them from the gnome ($1000), and give it to the person you want to spend points on. She goes to sleep, and the next day, you can do this...

EmperorGus forget the well sorry, confused the traits with the Destiny points, it is like The Devian said, although I used the pills only to correct the traits of the girls (as fine tuning) and let those till the end, the mix of traits, Inventory objects and cards, is crucial.
