Basically (Solo Leveling) game
The comments mentioned Solo Leveling so many times that my expectations were very low, but it is much better than I expected.
I downloaded this game because the description reminded me of another interesting game I played yesterday, so I decided to give it a try.
There is very little similarity to Solo-Leveling, so don't expect it to be based on Solo-Leveling, the game is more interesting, and although it is still in its early stages, I will recommend it.
There are some problems, but ok, I expected so little when I started playing that my opinion is still positive.
Ok finished the game, and I'll be honest. It seems some ppl were relieved that in the end it wasn't similar to SL. In my case, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed lol. From all the SL coms, I was expecting this to have a status window, a leveling system maybe some lewd quest to gain stats...
The truth is totally different, the only similar thing to Sl is the portals and monsters which is to say not a lot. It basically just shares the same "genre".
What I liked :
-The whole Azazel plot.
-The college settings
-the story overall
-MC's potential, technically mc didn't awaken, so he could have a sort of double awakening.
-fight scenes
-choices I like that we have choices lol
What I didn't like :
-The writing, the guy rly needs an editor to check on his work and a proof reader. When I say writing, I'm not only talking abt the grammatical mistakes but also the way some things are said. I litteraly cringed on some dialogues that took out the immersive part of this experience. Some dialogues aren't smooth at all and the facial expressions they make aren't fitting to some situation which make the weird dialogues stand out a lot more.
I'd advise, having a beta tester or someone that can give feedbacks and what to improve b4 releasing the actual game. I'm sure plenty would do it for free.
-fight scenes: it'd have been great if more attention to details was given during those, for exemple when fighing the mage goblin I didn't see mc imbue black flame to his feet to gain a speed boost (or maybe he did and I didn't pay attention, feel fre to correct me if I'm wrong).
Maybe it's to show his inexperience. I just find it dumb that Azazel didn't take some time train him to get more accustomed to his powers, like switching from feet to sword, sword to eyes... MHA spoiler
A bit like Izuku had to do with the one for all as it seems MC is in the same case and can't imbue himself completely with that power yet. I'd even prefer if the sis was the one given the powers, given the "otaku" reputation she has. She might have been more creative with them lol. Idk for exemple why didn't Mc try and see if he can control his flame after he launched them a bit like Yamcha does...
If dev needs some inspiration on how crreative it can get, I'd advise him to try
supehuman it's prbbly without a doubt the best western shonen AVN.
I mean Idk, it seems like the most logical thing to do when you get powers, I'd personally experiment a whole lot
Anyway, I wish dev all the best and for him to grow as a dev
