Its whereever you installed the game directory, that is if you are using version other than DRM based

I’m getting the unknown character AE error on Vol. 1 and I can’t play because of it.
Edit: Figured it out so nvm -w- looks like I forgot to set my system locale.

Im on the steam deck and tried this patch, and im getting the AE error. I've tried adding japanese, and enabling the locale with start up options but its been largely unsuccessful. Game plays fine before I patch it, I'm just not sure on how to set the locale for steam deck.
