It would almost be worth it even though the only ones I want to kill are Kira and Pearl. The others I just don’t care about at all.
Honestly, I kinda feel the same way.
Kira's tsundere-act didn't appeal to me at all, so I kept things platonic with her. Then the MC makes a huge deal about trusting her with his origins out of fear for her safety, but then tells Kelly immediately with an "oh well, I might as well tell you."
Pearl's shift in personality made no sense to me. Suddenly she's playful and going on about "fishys" and wanting to leisurely relax and swim on the island they just shipwrecked at after being attacked. Did I miss where she hit her head?
The MC wakes up after eating the poisonous berries, but even after learning about its effects, he doesn't wonder if Pearl will be OK. He even remarks that his poison resistance helped, but doesn't even consider that Pearl doesn't have this trait. For all he knows, she's wandering the island in a delirious state.
If the goal is to get me, the reader, to care for these people, then it'd be great if they were likeable, and the MC worried about them. These past few chapters, it feels as if every new LI became interchangeable. They're all very whimsical, want to compete with the MC on some level, and joke around. It also strikes me that the bigger their tits are, the least character development they actually get.
