I think the more important question is why is Looter Bay all of sudden so important when the Kingdom can be invaded any minute by his enemies and don't forget the backstabbing nobles
The king does mention that it's an important trade port. I think it's also situated between the kingdom & the elven continent, their most trusted allies?
Another benefit to taking out the pirates, is that other factions can't use them against the kingdom.

It would almost be worth it even though the only ones I want to kill are Kira and Pearl. The others I just don’t care about at all.
Honestly, I kinda feel the same way.

Kira's tsundere-act didn't appeal to me at all, so I kept things platonic with her. Then the MC makes a huge deal about trusting her with his origins out of fear for her safety, but then tells Kelly immediately with an "oh well, I might as well tell you."

Pearl's shift in personality made no sense to me. Suddenly she's playful and going on about "fishys" and wanting to leisurely relax and swim on the island they just shipwrecked at after being attacked. Did I miss where she hit her head?
The MC wakes up after eating the poisonous berries, but even after learning about its effects, he doesn't wonder if Pearl will be OK. He even remarks that his poison resistance helped, but doesn't even consider that Pearl doesn't have this trait. For all he knows, she's wandering the island in a delirious state.

If the goal is to get me, the reader, to care for these people, then it'd be great if they were likeable, and the MC worried about them. These past few chapters, it feels as if every new LI became interchangeable. They're all very whimsical, want to compete with the MC on some level, and joke around. It also strikes me that the bigger their tits are, the least character development they actually get.

That wasn't really my point... While he identified as the princess' bodyguard, Diana didn't believe him. They fought, but for some reason, Diana's crew put them in the same bed and didn't even restrict him. The only way this makes sense, is for Diana's crew to have recognized that he wasn't fighting to kill, which made them believe his story.
Even that doesn't make sense since the crew needed Kira and Pearl to remind them to save their own admiral.

IMHO, the actual answer is simply bad writing. Diana was supposed to fight the MC then join the harem because he's just so dreamy. Waking up in bed and having the MC heal her facilitates her arc, so that's what happens.

This is the best take of it. Trying to pull some kind of deeper meaning out of it all is pointless. Maybe the story seemed like it was going to be better at the start but that ship has long past sailed.

Sad but true I want to kill Brenda she is the other character besides Taron and Selena I wanted to kill
Hey we need story, we need good and evil, we need protagonist and such...

So Brenda gets to play a bit of a bitch, until she IS properly fucked...

The harem must grow. I won't like Brenda being in the harem but I'll accept it if it happens. In a story where the MC apparently seduces anyone just being in the area, it would be nice to have a female antagonist that isn't phased by it.

Wouldn't be shocked if we somehow swing Eliza's mom to our side.

Honestly I think that's the root of it. Eliza is somewhat believable when she falls for you right away - because she's been alone, and then you saved her, and there's a kind of instant connection I think because the same person semi-raised you both. You are both heavily influenced by her father. So somewhat believable. Alice is a little believable but harder, because you were close when you were little but you vanished when she was 10 years old - on the night your parents were murdered - and she's just been waiting for you to come back the whole time - also semi-believable but somewhat creepy if true. The rest are just sort of automatic, they are absolutely, deeply in love with you on sight because you exist and have a penis. It's not believable, and it's boring.

She's worse than Selena imo. At least Selena has the excuse of he sister being held hostage. Brenda just decided she was going to take over the bay, torture the bartender and rape the twins.
But why did Pearl get away with betraying the MC?
A few days earlier the MC could have killed Selena's sister to take revenge on her for betraying their trust, effectively killing someone who was innocent. But when Pearl does the same, he's not even angry.
I probably wouldn't have killed Pearl, but I would've loved actual choices on how to handle her. Like, for instance, treating the twins like their daddy did in a dark path playthrough.

Just refuse her? :ROFLMAO:

There's still something fishy about the whole Eliza situation. She was wandering the woods wearing stilettos. It's really surprising she survived years doing that.
Kidding aside, I do agree with you. At least if the player engages with her romantically. If he doesn't, I honestly don't see the progression. This MC would keep Eliza at arm's distance the entire time, but still moves mountains for her.
It's also kinda funny how you can pick all the negative choices, and then just agree to be with her when the major choice appears, then it'd be like they've always been that way. :ROFLMAO:

Because I don't consider Pearl as having betrayed the mc. She didn't know about Eliza and was told that Kira was going to die if she didnt steal whatever the mc was after and she immidently jumped ship.

I also don't really have a huge hate boner on Selena and would probably be able to look past everything if it didn't result in Eliza getting paralyzed. The biggest difference between Pearl and Selena is that no harm came out of anything Pearl did
