Still, I'm a bit conflicted. So many people had the opportunity to support this game for small amounts, but they didn't. It was heart-breaking to put all this effort with little reward. Even if a sponsor --like you suggest-- came along and I would post another chapter, I'm not sure the game would gain any more traction than before.
That would mean that the game would rely on the support of a single sponsor. I mean, I would take your money, but would that be fair for you? You putting in your resources (and of course taking the credit for it) and all the rest of the people enjoying it for free? Wouldn't you want a return on your investment?
The patreon system works because everyone that cares enough and has the resources/money, they would offer their support and be included in the process with the updates etc. They would get some benefits corresponding with their support tier. But now, if a single person gave a big amount what kind of benefits should that person get?
