Currently, I am working alone, but I am seeking assistance. Here is something I wrote to someone who contacted me on Discord:
So, first of all, I need the person helping me to fix the game bugs to be familiar with Ren'py so that they can precisely point out where the bug is located and potentially how to fix it (in the future, a closer collaboration may arise, to be evaluated). Additionally, I need someone who not only knows Ren'py but also can work on the GUI and help make the game more visually appealing. There are several improvements to be made to the game, and I am looking for collaborators who believe in the project and are willing to get involved.
Then:
Regarding English, I am trying to improve it, and I am using AI a lot to help me with translations (in fact, I am currently writing the game in Italian and having the AI translate the dialogues, after which I check for any issues. This method is greatly simplifying things for me and speeding up my work).
This is not an entirely new "Rebuild." It's the same "Rebuild" for which the first two episodes (weeks) have been released.
It's a demanding project, but if I continue to have the time, I can now move it forward as I used to before the Covid, with a reasonable release schedule.
For those concerned about seeing only things they've already seen in the original version of the game:
The plots are very similar, but all the storylines have more details, and the characters are more deeply characterized. There will be far fewer dead ends (meaning paths that didn't develop) and much less time wasted in plot development. I'm adding and will add more crucial events instead of repeating the same dialogues for several weeks to trigger an event.
On one hand, I'm simplifying the game, but on the other hand, I'm still filling it with content.
