With all these pathetic updates I thought I couldn't be shocked anymore... well, I'm shocked. This is by far the worst update I think he has ever done. Literally zero gameplay additions, yet for some reason he decided to focus his attention on... save game file bloat... for a java game with 20 kb save files? Seriously?

Was this something that was needed? An update so people can cheat with their save files? My god this guy is such a greedy, sleazeball, scam-artist. It blows my mind that people still give him money every month with updates like this, absolutely baffles me. It's like the simps that donate money to twitch thots when there is infinite porn on the internet, that's how stupid this is.

As for the "new feature," feels fucking weird to finally have the hairstyle feature I want in, but it's not even functional. Sure. I'm into NTR. However, I'm into Netoraru. Not Netorare, damnit.

Honestly, if him fucking around with the codebase makes it easier for him to actually make more frequent/substantial updates, then that's an improvement. However, we all know this is probably the only update there will even be for like 2 months and it won't make updates go faster at all.

Edit: Okay, SO does mention bloat, but only in the short-form bullet points. In the actual paragraphs where he explains things in detail, he never mentions anything about bloat. I kinda stopped reading by the time I got to the bullet points since I already read the long-form version.

I know SO doesn't want to add content that will get them in trouble with their local laws but why does it matter if someone else does? Plus making the PC a minor would break immersion anyways since it would be weird for the club, bars, or even a office building to let them in.

There is no morality in "I don't want legal troubles," most clinically diagnosed sociopaths are capable of that reasoning. Then again, I'm pretty sure that "it is illegal for me to make content involving rape" is a lie or, at the very best, a grave misunderstanding. In the UK, ejaculating in a woman without her consent is rape (ie: if she tells you to pull out, you are legally required to pull out); In NewLife there are several traits that make that default behavior for NPCs. If SO officialized the fan-made non-consent mods, I do not believe he would be at any more legal risk than he is now.

He's full of shit, the law they mention is some nonsense obscenity law thats been on the books forever, hasn't been used in decades, pretty sure the last time it was used was for some book a pedophile wrote.

There's absolutely no way in hell SO will get targeted at all. Just another excuse to have his fans write his content for him.

Hell Degrees of Lewdity is made primarily by some brit (going of on some dialog choices that only a brit would use, guess they could be australian as well). If you're not aware, DoL definitely takes things much further than NL, with full on rape/what is clearly a protag that is late middleschool/early highschool.
